Why is Trade Day saying we traded Ryan for Gunston? We traded Ryan for Chol who are the same age.

I think this trade period sets the Hawks up to trade pick four for two lower picks in the first round which it can use on key position players that might take some time to develop.

It's literally been like for like replacements across the board. Ginni for Brockman to me we haven't lost out. Rekon Jack has huge upside as well and playing for the side he grew up barracking for he will be fully engaged with our process. Taking the Hollywood out of his lifestyle ( playing for Collingwood lots of media attention) will do him the world of good. Sam is exactly the right coach and mentor for him.

As you said these picks are getting eaten up the McCabe bid so it really makes no difference to us, so not sure how you think its not great

because if you don't have points and go into deficit, that would mean our F1, assume pick 8 becomes pick 10 for a 200 point deficit if McCabe is bid in 1st round.

if we had traded our F1, then our F2(pies) get demoted. Assume it starts at pick 36, it will get demoted to pick 55.

Nope, that ship has sailed and we will need special permission from AFL to trade F1 unless we can pencil in few our picks and beg someone to give us their F3.

Will mean our deficit will be even more next year.
