Handwringers on 18 May: Who is Brandon Ryan?

Handwringers on 18 October: HOW DID WE GIVE AWAY BRANDON RYAN FOR LITERALLY NOTHING REEEEEEE faints due to rage.

We just flipped a bloke playing VFL for a more versatile forward (who can also ruck) who kicked 44 goals last season within 4.5 months. What’s not to like.

Whats the actual break down of the list? Bramble and Greene are probably gone.
I'd say definitely...and maybe the old delist/re-rookie thing with someone as well.

It's hard to keep track of primary list numbers...

If you’d said a week ago we would keep 4 and our F1, have enough points for McCabe and Dear, have a F2, and bring in Chol, Ginnivan, D’Ambrosio, and Gunston..

I’m taking that.

We lost one player from our best 22 in Brockman, and added 3.

Leave 4 and F1 on the table for pick 1 up until the moment it’s selected. Either North panics and overpays or the eagles blink. If not, we are going to get a gun and have our F1 still.

Amazing how some people still don't understand the worth of picks and the bidding system. The slide back in the ginnavin and gunston deals from our perspective are very marginal and we are still getting McCabe no matter what.

Ginnavin>brockman
Chol> kosi
Gunston > Ryan
Massimo>bramble

Every chance of Gunston might get his body right and we get 3 years from him while Ryan may be delisted when his contract expires because he hasn't come on.

Pretty good trade period for us overall.
However we still have a bit of a hole down back.
Is there a delisted or potential to be delisted KPB that we could target to slot in
Personally I was hoping to target dougal Howard or Lewis young
Maybe borlase from Adelaide might be worth a look. Little undersized but strong in the contest from the few games I've watched. Kind of reminded me of Tom clurey but a better user snd drive out of the back half. Still young maybe DFA
Or one from left field
Trial nash down back, has the size.
Would also allow one of the young mid to step up (hustwaite/mckenzie)

You realise we traded in 3 forwards, right
We traded out 3 forwards as well. 2 of them wanted to go, I get it. I don't see the reasoning with Ryan, a key forward we didn't have to lose. Anyway, enough said. Apparently being disappointed in that trade is killing the vibe.

In the end, our trade period was neither good nor bad. I would have hoped to do better, but our list didn't go backward. Nice to be on the other end of a Wright deal.
Yeah but the most important thing is the team looks to be more balanced and stronger upfront now. If we can win at least 10 games next season then it's a step in the right direction and most importantly make us a more attractive option for FA.

Plus it's already been pushed back to 0 point value. Currently 74 if pies go B2B.

So what happens if young Burgoyne says I want to play for Hawthorn next year as I barrack for them and not Ports seeing we have traded all our picks.

No people were calling you out for saying he was going for ‘nothing’ when he was basically being swapped for Chol and Gunston.
