Correct. He's GWS bound for mine.
Poor kid, playing in front of no one, underachieving with all his other first round picks, every week.

But wasn’t there some talk of Reid’s management letting WC know don’t bother he doesn’t want to move interstate. I know GWS is closer but it’s not that close …… could be out of us, Norf or Blues.

WCE have no leverage after all this go home talk. Pick 1 will only be worth what the market offers.

If GWS offer say 5 & 7 (which I think will blow out to 6 & 8 by seasons end) then that will be it. They'll probably add a second or F2 to get it over the line.

If WCE turn that down then too bad, he will be gone in two years.

He will. It's a monster offer from Collingwood.
Which is?

I'd be shocked if Collingwood would be stupid enough to offer HH stupid coin, especially after ditching one of the best ruckman in the comp because they ****ed up their salary cap.

He's never once kicked 40 goals in a season. He's a number 2 KPF at best. Not the kind of bloke you make a monster offer to.

If Walter gets bid on in the top 3 it’s also going to be almost impossible to get all 3. That was my thinking with the trade anyway
No, they can still get all 3.. They may go into deficit for the 3rd pick. Deficit is based on when the 3rd one is called, if still in1st round, then could affect whatever F1 pick they have.

If they make finals, then they just can't match for 3rd pick.

The notion that us giving Pick 3 + DGB and Brockman for Pick 1 is way overs is laughable.

There's no way West Coast is taking that.

Giants will definitely offer their two first which are both top 10 picks, don't think even the most one eyed supporter would say we could get a top 10 pick for Brocky & DGB.

For us it is. Agreed.

We’re in a rebuild, not a “tear it down for 1 player”.

Trading out 3 players for 1 takes us backwards.
People need to let go of the Harley fantasy.
If we truly want Harley then the only way is to out West Coast West Coast........

It’s way overs for Hawthorn to be offering this, not for West Coast to consider

There is a difference

Our upgrade on Bramble is Ward.! Full stop with an exclamation mark … written for emphasis.
don't agree. I think Ward is an inside/outside mid who will spend time on the wing and even back. Still think we will want another first choice winger, whether that's Weddle, CJ or someone else

They'll want more. It won't get it done anyway.
They can want whatever they like...maybe they'd like Day, Newcombe, Brockman, DGB and pick 3?

I know this thread is just about shooting shit, but the Harleysteria is doing my head in...

We want more picks at the draft, not less.

I’m taking Caddy, McCabe, Brocky and DGB over Harley and McCabe every day of the week.

So was Croad and McFarline for Hodge and Mitchell.
Pfft...no it wasn't

McPharlin was desperate to go home, and could have gone to Dockers for nothing in the PSD.

Essentially, we got pick 1, 20 and 36 for Croad, and a player who could have walked for nothing.

If you want to equate these trades in of risk/reward...mate, what can I say to that?

Whos to say Denver and Brockman won't pull a McFarline.

Denver may not even be a AFL level player.
Brockman could be a home sick talented enigma for years to come.
(don't get me wrong I hope they come on but there are ??? )

If we think Harley is a generational talent ala. Hodge, Dusty etc...

It's worth it.

They don't come within a clubs grasp very often. Denver and Brockman are not.

Nothing coming from either Brockman or the Club in the last 12 months suggest that he’s home sick.

.

Ok, if we're adding speculation in to justify our calls...

Who's to say Harley won't do two ACLs?

Who's to say Brockman won't be our next Breust? (He's already looking every inch a first round player)

Who's to say DGB won't follow the same path as other KPDs, and thrive after 5 years?

And, who's to say pick 3 won't turn to be a superstar as well?

Three possible 10 year players for one player, in a game with 22 on the field, is NOT worth ito me, or, thankfully, anyone at the club.
