I was expecting that a few months ago after a very senior person openly described him as being "insipid" after half time during an information session with club employees. That person who I am not inclined to name on a public forum clearly does not rate him. But I thought his late season efforts weren't too bad and he might earn a reprieve. Interesting times.

The problem I see with that is that if North get piuck 3 as compo, the Eagles may well miss out on Curtain

I really hate, but love this time of year in equal parts. I would be unhappy to see DGB go as i think we are just starting to see his potential and he is just starting to get the penny to drop.

In terms of Esava, its a big offer and clearly designed to deter WCE and North and getting him via PSD. Whilst i'm not sure he is worth that $$ I do like the idea of sticking it to Geelong.

I’m hoping it’s Esava’s manager leaking lies to Edmund in order for Port to up their offer.

Esava to Port has been agreed upon for over 12 months now. We would need to offer something this ridiculous to get him to come to us but surely, surely this isn’t true.

These forums are really tough and we know players and family’s read etc but the reality for us unfortunately is DGB has not shown much in 3 years. The highlights package would not be extensive and I can’t recall too many standout games where we could hang our hats on.

Clarko calling the kid Shaggy from Scooby Doo to the world on his draft day probably not his finest moment also.

Who is trading for him based on what we have seen? Possibly might net us a pick around 30-40 ish but it would have to be a club that says “let’s roll the dice with him and see if we can turn him into a running back or he eventually becomes steak knives in another deal.

That is the reality we are facing and it’s not great for a pick 6.

100%. But other clubs will be offering up more than that for pick 1. Eagles only do it if they get the player they want with our pick. tbh I don't see it happening
