Like I said originally they COULD not WILL walk him to the PSD and then followed it up in my next post with we'll be lucky to get a pick in the 30s for him.

My point being they will not trade pick 1 for a player they COULD walk to the PSD or trade for a pick in the 30s.

The strong negative feeling towards our interest in Esava will be tenfold if it's a long term contract to play him forward.

7 year contract for a bloke who has played over 70 games with a best goal return of 15 in a season.

I'm starting think there has to be something fishy going on here. Every player we've been linked to since Sam Mitchell took over has made perfect sense. Not only does this one not make sense, but the going rate is what I'd be expecting to pay if we were going after somebody like a Jacob Van Rooyen or a Darcy Fogarty. Players with genuine star qualities and oodles of potential up forward.

Potentially mckay and esava for a single second round pick that will get chewed up in a McCabe bid is good business, Scott can whine all he wants but pick 30 would be about right. The money I'm not worried about, both will be heavily front ended and will have no impact on future deals for our young guns.
