There were more saying this on the Bombres board - not many over there would be celebrating based on their thread. Granted their board is deader than their premiership chances.
I think it’s like the dees board. They all post on another site.

This isn’t a free market scenario though. Your car is demanding to be sold to one buyer only, thereby killing your hopes to get market value. If you force it to the tip and let some other buyer the car hates pick it up for nothing, it makes a statement to other cars in your garage. This may well impact future sales discussions. We’re not privy to all those so can’t really gauge success as a tactic. Your Lamborghini may think twice about demanding you engage in a one-buyer sale in future, knowing you don’t roll over in negotiation.

Quality analogy - but Rankine asked for a trade to Adelaide after Gold Coast did the Martin PSD move. The PSD option only ever seems to ensure the side that does it ends up with nothing when they could have ended up with something. I get using it as a threat - but following through seems pointless.

At least look at the bright side..we still have a war chest. ;)

Me waiting for us to use the much discussed warchest:

Aging Matt Damon GIF

CJ.

Unless he recaptures his best form.

True on here - seems to be loved in the stands at games though even when his form was down a bit this year. Generally with other whipping boys it’s been universal.

Nothing has been reported. TD may have a good source but it’s not being reported or mentioned anywhere on BF either. Wouldn’t freak out just yet
Correct. But they are now leading the race. Unsure if they've upped the offer, but it's done a 180 from yesterday from what I'm told.

Also consider that Ramanauskas is the manager. Extremely tight with Dodo.

We closed on one of - if not the biggest name on the FA market last off-season

lol. We closed on an sub-elite outside mid.

Weve missed on:
- Sheil
- Lynch
- Coniglio was nearly over the line
- Whitfield was nearly over the line
Elite players that were up for grabs.

There’s more, but I can’t.

Now for some of those - Sheil in particular - missing was a blessing.
But we wanted him, and didn’t get him.

We have trouble closing.

Lynch was a foregone conclusion to Richmond. He really shouldn’t be invoked in these arguments.

I think we just wait for the official word on McKay or we inevitably go through a rollercoaster of emotions till he decides
We had the best deal in front of him. Nothing eventuated.

His manager is a Bomber.

I think it's safe to say that they just wanted Essendon to raise their offer.
