We had the best deal in front of him. Nothing eventuated.
His manager is a Bomber.
I think it's safe to say that they just wanted Essendon to raise their offer.
That’s even worse.

FP, my friend. You KNOW that's exactly how it works.I think we just wait for the official word on McKay or we inevitably go through a rollercoaster of emotions till he decides
Shiel we walked away when Giants let it be known they wanted 2x firsts. Know this for a fact, because Grizzlym was in a meeting at the Carlton football club when they were told that Hawthorn had pulled out of the chase for him - they smugly thought they had him at that point.lol. We closed on an sub-elite outside mid.
Weve missed on:
- Sheil
- Lynch
- Coniglio was nearly over the line
- Whitfield was nearly over the line
Elite players that were up for grabs.
There’s more, but I can’t.
Now for some of those - Sheil in particular - missing was a blessing.
But we wanted him, and didn’t get him.
We have trouble closing.
We seem to be unable to close.
The whole board should be used to it by now.FP, my friend. You KNOW that's exactly how it works.
As opposed to Essendon….To be fair we aren't the most appealing side to join given our last several years.
People working themselves in to a frenzy these last few days when in reality nothing has changed... At any pointI think we just wait for the official word on McKay or we inevitably go through a rollercoaster of emotions till he decides
As opposed to Essendon….
No current season stats available

Does he have a relationship with Yze perhaps was Yze still with us when he got drafted ???Wingnut goes bang.
fine. I’m happy with a second round pick for Kosi.
As for who the hell at Richmond has been in his ear, well that’s another matter.
But thank you.
The positive on all the misses -For all the players the bombers landed and over paid for, it did not bring them premiership success.lol. We closed on an sub-elite outside mid.

On the Tyler brockman board a tigers guy floated Allen for pick 3 and brockman. If brockman around 38 that values Allen at pick 2 so I’d want something like 38 back but I could do that deal. Especially if we give 29 and f1 for suns pick. Allen Duursma McCabe works for me.
I think we start working on 2024 trade period now if we haven’t already and forget this one there’s not much to be had apart from the suns pick. None of the players linked are world beaters so we have another year of development find more mid time for Ward CMac and Frenchy and draft in Duursma McKercher McCabe and Jiath.
His manager is an old Bomber.
His potential new coach is his old coach.
Think we are kidding ourselves.
I am just expecting another 2 years of hitting the draft and picking up value players like we did with Impey. The 2024 free agent class isn’t all that exciting and I doubt we have any chance at Ben King. Time to hope our recruiters are getting the job done.
I wonder if Tom Murphy still plays football..So next year we have no Kosi, no McKay, no Esava and maybe Frost traded to Norf. If Morrison doesn’t play who the hell is our whipping boy?
