For all the past criticism the way wright has got Schultz to nominate pies seems pretty good going. We’ve been chasing multiple targets (often in competition with other clubs or having to pay up for Chol) and pies quietly get arguably the best player so far to nominate them. Were we even in the running?

He's best work was last year

It’s never been clearer the media take the negative narrative with us in trades than Jon Ralph’s posts.

For Kosi its about what contract we offered, not what Richmond who are targeting him, offered. No mention of him being a key position player.

For Chol, it is not about what GC offered or that they are pushing him out, it is about what we, who are targeting him offered.

For D’Ambrossio, there suddenly is no mention of contracts, just what Essendon want in a trade (who only offered him a 1 year deal, for a flanker and mid season draft pick).
Time to tell the media the truth. We have been ignored, we have played the good citizen card, time to play the “what is good for hawthorn fc card”

Then North will outbid us.
Only way we get the pick is if we get pick 2 off North.

If North are telling WCE they won't trade because they don't believe they will take Reid then WCE will have no option but to trade with us - if they want to make the most out of the pick whilst still getting Curtin.

I don't believe that North are going to do that though.

I just can’t see it. I know North are used to getting handouts but Eagles aren’t that incompetent.

They’re better off taking Reid and getting a kings ransom for him if we wants to leave

I was quietly hoping they take Reid we take Curtin (if Duursma was gone) and then see where we all sit in two years time.

In hindsight, would have been better to delist an injured Brocky in 2022 in name of list needs instead of Seamus with promise to repick him. Then we we would have gotten pick 19 as compo this year.

Given his injury, low low chance Eagles jumped at him last yr.

We need to do that for most non-vic talent if they have questions around them and we don't see the WA clubs jumping if they are stocked for that position.
We would never of gotten pick 19 for him.

Perhaps Brady has told them they are taking Curtin with pick 2 regardless of any trades.

North possibly see Curtin and Duursma as their 1 and 2.

This blocks out trading with Hawthorn and the hope he slides.

Is there still talk of North trading 3 to Essendon?
