pick 44 = 362 points.
pick 63 = 112 points.
The total of 474 points is between pick 37(483 pts) and pick 38 (465 pts)
Could help us in McCabe or Calsher Dear bid matching.
Decent deal.West Coast has given up picks 44 + 63 to Hawthorn for small forward Tyler Brockman.
Deal about to be lodged

No. He was the finished product. Tall and built who could clunk huge marks and kick big goalsWas Hale ever a beanpole ?
IMO we need a KPF better than Chol for our next premiership. He may improve us in 2024 but he’s not the messiah.
Oh well, not our problem anymoreHorrible value given the club rated him worth a top 10 pick apparently

I am not keen to overpay for Chol or Gunston (or anyone) Part of the reason we threepeated was that we did the opposite of everyone else. We traded players in because everyone else was overvaluing draft picks. Players that are not best 22 should be worth token picks only. Now that everyone is overvaluing borderline players, we should stick to the draft.

Most of these guys are midfielders only Jai, Nash, Stephens and Long are really the inside ball winning types of players the others play different roles currently.I think we have a large stock of developing mids who we can rotate through different roles including inside bull. Between: Jai, Nash, Day, Mackenzie, Mcdonald, Ward, Stephens, Long (though he may not stay) and even Moore, Amon, etc. I think we have enough to cover.
That's right. We could have lost him for nothing.Good result for a player who essentially could have walked into the PSD for nothing…
Will Smith be a restricted free agent next year then?
We just wait it out and then he nominates us and we sign him on for 6 years @ 800k, dogs get their first round compo and we're on our way? I think we'd need them to have a bad year because if they finish top 8 surely they'll match our offer and force a trade, pick 11-18 isn't enough to satisfy the dogs.
Sam would love him because he has an ego as big as Sam's.

Brockian Ultra Cricket!Just a little Segway. Imagine if trade week was a day, lock all the relevant peeps inside a big room and you can't come out till it is all done. Now that's entertainment.
I think this is a fair trade. The club rated him a late second rounder so this is around the mark. Good trade for both clubs. The way it should be done. Unlike that w***er at Essendon.
Really disappointing to miss out on both Reid and Smith when we went so hard at both.
On top of McKay earlier who we thought we had over the line
If we fail to land Massimo that would make it a very underwhelming trade period tbh.
I'm glad we are keeping our F1 now because I'm not seeing a surge up the ladder next year. Still looking forward to it though.
I imagine Sam, Mackenzie and McCartney will be very disappointed too. We are supposed to be in a hurry with this rebuild with an aggressive trade period and they just keep missing out.
If true, Smith is the biggest miss, exactly the sort of elite talent at the right age that we need. From what I hear he was all over coming to the hawks too, who knows if he still feels the same in 12 months time.
I'm not having a sook, I'm still excited where the c team is going, it's just a bit disappointing.
