Decent deal.

Now hope we do 44(362pts) for Chol+66+71(109 pts)

Suns end up with 24,27,28,32,36,38,44,62 ( have freed 5 list spots till now, need to delist 3 more)

We end up with 4,33,54,63,66,71

Hope we target Richmond's F2 for Kosi if they are loathe to give up 29 for one of our later picks.

Tigers have 29,50,68

Thought we would try for another pick between 4 and 33 to be honest to get in before the McCabe bid hopefully we are still working on it. As it’s going to be a long rebuild if we only draft one top kid a year.

I know we have McCabe but feel like we need more each year.

Really disappointing to miss out on both Reid and Smith when we went so hard at both.

On top of McKay earlier who we thought we had over the line

If we fail to land Massimo that would make it a very underwhelming trade period tbh.

I'm glad we are keeping our F1 now because I'm not seeing a surge up the ladder next year. Still looking forward to it though.

I imagine Sam, Mackenzie and McCartney will be very disappointed too. We are supposed to be in a hurry with this rebuild with an aggressive trade period and they just keep missing out.

If true, Smith is the biggest miss, exactly the sort of elite talent at the right age that we need. From what I hear he was all over coming to the hawks too, who knows if he still feels the same in 12 months time.

I'm not having a sook, I'm still excited where the c team is going, it's just a bit disappointing.

McKay was a realistic change!

Smith and No#1 pick was always a long shot! At least we drove the price up for the Roos.

My list of hated clubs is growing, come on Hawks via the draft! Let’s smash these c**ts!

Brisbane will be added to the list if they try to screw us over Gunston who we gave away as good will.

Suns trying to rip us for Chol a free agent they’re over paying and got for nothing!

Roos - Trying to blame there form on us via Clarko. Come you were shit before this and then you beg to the AFL and are spoilt rotten with draft picks.

Bombers - Our past the line in the sand game - potentially Massimo

Cat - Our past it is a given and the way of natural order.

Swans - Still not over being screwed with buddy!

Are we 100% no chance for Harley?

I know we were knocked back for 4 and F1 (+/-).

Was this only because they think they’ll get 2 and 3 from NM (and who knows, maybe they will)?

But if they don’t. If they can’t get NM to budge…

Then our offer is the only genuine (likely) 2 x top 5 pick offer.
It’s the best offer on the table.

What would it take?

On Brockman we had no choice but to bend over and bend over we did. As soon as West Coast finished last and he chose them, that was inevitable. Take the points and the loss and move on
Brockman could have helped the Hawks a little once Freo came on the scene. But no he could not bluff a little….

Short memory Brocky no one wanted you at the end of the 2022 year and you shafted us!

We probably won’t know until ‘the pick is in’ appears on draft night.

West coast will probably wait until then with offering 1 for 2 & 3/F1.

If North don’t make that call, Sleepy Mark might get a phone call from the eagles.

Explain to everyone what Brockman could have done to bluff a little, and then explain how it was going to change anything.

Could have but didn’t. Once he chose West Coast, we were screwed despite some nonsense suggestions here a few weeks ago we and he wouldn’t trade unless we got a first or second rounder

We received less than we wanted.
WC paid more than they wanted to (or to be frank, needed to)

When both parties are mildly dissatisfied, it usually means a deal was fair.

I think you are being a little harsh. We rated him a round 2. We nearly got value given he was uncontracted. Frankly, I don’t think this is a bad outcome.

Will Smith be a restricted free agent next year then?

We just wait it out and then he nominates us and we sign him on for 6 years @ 800k, dogs get their first round compo and we're on our way? I think we'd need them to have a bad year because if they finish top 8 surely they'll match our offer and force a trade, pick 11-18 isn't enough to satisfy the dogs.

Sam would love him because he has an ego as big as Sam's.
Keep Will Smith's wife's name out your f***ING mouth

I still reckon we are an outside chance of getting Pick 1.

The ball is in Norf's court. They either cough up 2&3 meaning we get Duursma or Eagles accept our offer and we get Reid.

Either way a win for us.
