Gresham = 2nd round
Howard = 2nd round
Clark = 2nd round
Billings = 3rd round
Package the two 2nd rounders into a first round (add a 3rd round if needed)
Rather
Gresham 2nd rnd for Henry
Howard and Clark 2nd rnds for Duursma

Port need picks for
Ratugolea
Zerk Thatcher
Jordan Sweet

Wouldn’t mind Duursma
Henry and keep pick 12.

If they can get us moving in the mids, I would jack off both of them, however I am not sure how they would feel about a 63 y.o grandfather servicing them in such fashion.

I suppose there would be an audience somewhere in the dark recesses of Pornhub for such scintillating action though :oops:

What’s your mean jerk time like these days?

I think he's due a drip feeding game or two next year. Max will be injured at some stage (has been in every other year at some point) Heath's kicked goals in the VFL, and is a big lump of a thing. He can at least charge through a few defenders along the way. We have other forwards that can step up. Put him in against weaker opposition so it doesn't sting us too much.
Sorry to rain on your parade but he would have to be a last resort - yes a big lad but based on training observations this year he is miles off it - schooled in the ruck by Marshall & Campbell at training & skill wise ordinary ( saw Goddard this year, who had obviously been working with him, frustrated he was making the same mistakes).

The lad wants to improve & is very hard on himself when he makes an error, but a long way to go. Having said that - of course I hope he makes it.

I commented earlier about Gawns progress after being drafted.
I'll expand.
First Season , no games.
Second Season, 4 games, High 23 hitouts, 8 disposals. 1 goal for the season.
Third Season , no games.
Fourth Season, 13 games , High games, 38 hitouts 9 disposals, or 25 hitouts 18 disposals. 7 goals for the season.
Fifth Season , 9 games , High..23 hitouts , 9 disposals, or 6 hitouts 19 disposals. 4 goals for the season.
6th Season, 13 games. A 58 hitout 18 disposal game against Essendon. 6 goals for the Season.
7th Season, 22 games, lots of hitiouts, lots of disposals 16 goals.

I don't expect Heath to track faster than that. I'd hope he gets a few opportunities next season, probably best starting him as a forward with relief duties. Won't be calling for him to be delisted if he spuds up a couple.

Rucks take longer.
See Tim English, for years was either poor or meh but 6 years on an AFL list has made him AA.

Rucks you cannot judge until 23-25 at the earliest.

We are clutching saying heath js ready next year .. nowhere near it yet

Developer as a forward a bit this year but miles off as a ruck right now
He would be predominately playing forward and just chop out Marshall with (20-30%) ruck time. Plus Heath could ruck the forward stoppages and leave Marshall as the intercept tall down the line.

Has to be better than Owens and Caminiti in the ruck.

Ah, yeah... that's what I'm missing over here. Would love to get down to a training the next time i'm in Australia. All I have to go on is Bachelor's reviews, and he mentions that Heath is a work in progress...but that he's progressing in an upward trajectory.
He seems to get in amongst the goals a bit which is good, and can take a grab by all accounts. It's a start.
But yeah...might not be much of a ruckman just yet though.

He’s miles off it. If he gets a game it’ll basically be a charity game against the bottom side.
That's where he should start out anyway, against lowly opposition.
Collingwood played their ruck kid (don't know his name) who is supposedly around Heath's level of development. He got destroyed and was as lost as f*ck, but at least he had a taste, and knows the level.
I don't think anyone is saying that Heath should ruck either, more a bit of a chop out, and a big body forward.

I think it was the Queens BDay game last year where Jordan had like a million meters gained in a losing team that made me think if nothing else this kid leaves it all out there which is never a bad thing.

Get to have a good look at Tomlinson and Jorden this week. Can they step up on the big stage? Will they come to the Saints?
How are we gonna get Jorden as a free agent and not dilute our compo for gresh? We only want him because he is a free agent

GC is keen on Dougal Howard.
I’m sure we could add some junk picks and trade for pick 4.
Wasn't that a text message read on SEN?
Not really much substance in it sadly
We arent in the box seat to get pick 4 tbh

Would be great if we wrangled it somehow tho

Looks like Sydney have missed out on McKay would they be keen on Howard?
Maybe Howard and Gresh compo for 11?

Where did you hear the McKay news? He off to Essendon?

If they give us a pick that lands Henry that's fine.

Rekon we will end up keeping Gresh.

Hes gonna try and push for a bigger deal in the market and then come back to us on 'fair' coin. Maybe only a 2 year deal if he wants to back his form in, but I think he stays.

Jordan in as a FA
Howard for Henry
4th for Goldstein to come in as a playing coach in the VFL.

Grab a KPD from the delisting/state comps. Then draft mids, mids, mids...
