Can you link us to an article that suggests that he's being shopped around? Other clubs thinking he's potentially gettable isn't a sign of him being shopped around. Clark didn't get shopped last year by the club and North still came after him, similar instance here.

Howard is contracted, how many contracted KPD's have been chased so far this year? Barrass and that's about it. Clubs know that it will take overs to get a KPD which is why their after free agents and OOC players.
We are shopping him around because key defenders are the flavour of the month and he is contracted so we can ask for a fair bit in return. One of the only players on the list that might get us a first rounder

I worry about getting rid of Billings, too talented and it may come back to bite us. Get himself injury free and we may see the best of him.
I wouldn't worry if I was you , turns 29 next year and after 10yr in the system it may be a bit late to see the best of him.

He can't be compared to Wood either because Wood is a elite runner who is just about more committed on the training track than just about anyone.
He also has never been pampered and after being delisted has given everything to get the best out of himself and most probably rubbing off on Nas.

Also with Woods elite running ability he could have a few more years left playing good football if you look at Bilcavs for the Cats ( Blicavs was a middle-distance runner and steeplechaser, who attempted to qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics.)

I certainly wasn't. Not saying I get every call right, but Sincs I was bang on.

Has always had elite disposal and decision making. Was obvious he could play, but we insisted on making him rot in the forward pocket in a crap side.

Clark has no major weapons, and glaring weaknesses that are just too hard to cover.
Clark is a very good kick on both feet and has an insane level of composure under pressure. You cant find stats on that last one obviously but everyone sees it when watching games.

Clubs came sniffing for him after Cordy's emergence and we are willing to deal him for the right price. We aren't knocking at club's doors telling them that Howard is available, that would give us 0 leverage in a trade if he were to leave

He's a good kick and I can see it when he plays but, bloody hell, he scrubs so many kicks along the ground even with time and space. Extremely frustrating to see for someone with his talent

Howard is mot being shopped around nor is he untouchable.
If the right offer came it would be looked at.

And WTF is bork suddenly so topical?

Was here for the ownice scandal, the grandy debacle and the parmi tragedy, but bork?????

I don't get it really , teams have inquired about Howard (this why the rumor started) and he has let it be known he staying and has no interest in moving house.

The Cordy vs Howard

Howard is a man on man defender - since he has been with us he has never really been cleaned up, make mistakes sure - but if I had to have a shutdown role on a tall forward I go with Howard until we find a better solution.

Cordy is a zone defender - which is fine when your midfield is not being slaughtered.

At the moment having the 2 of them is great - losing Howard and having only Cordy as the main option is a step backwards.

Hopefully next year we find the fix we want from a developed kid or a option through trade.
We have other problems to fix and it's the midfield - defense is really not a problem if you have capable defenders which we have and our midfield can hold it's own.

There's two spellings of ownice.(noun) Ownise is the other.

Hopefully you don't bork me now that I've educated you. Ownise (verb) is on you to respond.

It's due to his speed , he hasn't that burst speed and hasn't the body strength to give off the Martin straight arm , making him rush everything he does.
If you don't have the speed you need the strength and Clark looks the same when he was drafted.
Might do well at the Bombers they might have some supplements that could fix the problem.

The truth at last, the narrative on Clark is laughable but hey why let facts get in the way of a good hate session. Now billings can’t run apparently so that’s now two guys who were at the top for us in metres covered at one point who can barely jog 🤣🤣.

It's a bit of a personal favourites thing though. Plenty bag Gresham, Billings, Howard, Clark and a few others and no-one bats eyelid. Go after Owens or King and you have some balls. A few sacred cows are off limits but generally we seem to hate most of the players on here. Even Steele copped it after one injured year and people questioned everything about him. I think impatience is turning us into campaigners.

As reported by Inside Trading, the Gold Coast key forward is expected to look for a new home after being the leading goalkicker in the VFL for a second consecutive year. Adelaide has shown an interest while St Kilda has also kept tabs on him.

Very good player. Makes no sense as a forward for us but apparently Adelaide keen as a KPB. Maybe we think he could be a Howard replacement.

Wouldn’t mind Darcy Gardiner

Reminded me that gringos a utensil. And I'd say it to his face. Wish he stepped to me. Wish.

You'd need a step ladder and your mate to give you a boost between steps though Tiny.

Absolutely at worst a stop gap for Van Es best case genuine stopper.

There are a lot of very good mids in the next one. Not sure how deep it is or anything but Sid Draper, Jagga Smith, Josh Smilie, another Ashcroft for Brisbane, a couple of Camporeales and Hotton's little brother and a heaps of others. Pretty bizarre that next year seems to have mostly mids and this one has barely any.

I'd like to be able to take our first and second rounders to the next draft.
We've long known this info, (even us nuffies on this board), so what is the game of our list crew trying to get all in on this draft, even at the expense of our position in the next year's SuperMid Draft?

It would be St Kilda Classique to put all our chips in the ONE draft with hardly any bloody mids in it and find ourselves watching on next year when all the generational mids get swept up by opposition clubs.

I'm hoping it's just rumours and we don't plan on compromising any of our 2024 picks on some hairbrained scheme to prise McLuggage and Bing from Queensland.

We need fast, strong, and skillful ball-magnet mids and don't bloody stop drafting them until Steele and Crouch can't get a seniors game and are playing at Sandy.
