Esava got 24. Key defenders were getting over in trades and compo.

If someone offered good compo as a trade for Dougal we should have considered it, no one did so it’s a moot point.

The start of the convo was about how people wanted to trade Dougal, people only wanted to trade him because key defenders were netting high payback.

That was three times actually Barrells. He played both defence and forward as an under ager and did well. IMO he would be much more dependable than any other options mentioned....! Have you actually seen him play?
Yes.

I'm not sure what the rest of you think but so far l reckon SOS is tracking at close to 10/10 for this offseason.

I know losing Coff is disappointing but turning him into Dow was good business.

But out of:
Highmore
JB
Leo
Adams
Bytel
Peris
Coff
Theres not 1 player you could say would have been likely to make an impact into the future and we currently have zero wasted list spots. (tbd on Allison*)
Gresh the only one, but l do think well be better without him.
I put it down to the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Slight exaggeration.

McKay netted pick 3 as compo cause Essendon paid him a ******* bag.

Well that is half the reason why. Band 1 Compo is tied to the ladder position of the team that the FA departs from. So for North Pick 3. Pick 13 for us. Pick 19 for Pies. (pick position before they slide due to FA, Academy and FS selections).

FA's aee pretty thin but there's a couple of potential diamonds in the right.

Jackson Hately (Adelaide)
Rhys Mathieson (Brisbane)
Brodie McLaughlin, Jeremy Sharp (GC)
Patrick Voss, Will Snelling (Ess)
Riley Bonner, Sam Hayes (PA)
Hugo Hall-Kahan (Sydney)
Trey Ruscoe, Will Kelly (Coll)
Emerson Jeka (Haw)

Hately would be my preferred midfield depth option although Mathieson is a close second.

Bonner is a known quantity. Can be AFL standard, lacked consistency but probably the choice of HBF's available.

McLaughlin sounded like a ripping bloke in his SEN interview during trade period.

Snelling is a high pressure forward like Butler. Has been consistently above average or elite for his defensive game at Ess. Would be good for Butler to have some genuine pressure on his spot.

HHK was in our sights, wonder if we've still got interest?

Adelaide fans reckon Hately is no good.

Trade thread now talking about horse semen I assume. What a turn of events.
You really do have a wild imagination at times.

I was clearly outlining my vision of becoming a raging surrogate Wagyu stud and producing half-human, half-marble-fatty hairy coo children.

Nothing more, nothing less.

There's no need to make things weird for the sake of it. 🐴
