Anyone know what the knock on Lance Collard is?
No significant knock but compared to other players Collard is slight (but a good height) and raw, and can go missing for large patches. When he is on though he is very dangerous and can kick goals from nothing.
Interview here:
Highlights here:
My preferred duo would be Delean and Sanchez as a combo; Delean is not quite as mercurial as Collard but a lot more well-rounded (a lot more of the team stuff and tackles well which would mean we would more likely play him). How about Sanchez and Collard?
A Balla and Walters combo.
Have pick 21 for Logue, jackson will end up better then whoever goes pick 4I can't believe we gave up two firsts and a second. We had a poor draft last draft while rebuilding and we still need to rebuild.
Jackson was uncontracted and going to us anyway.
Pick 4 would have been a real need. Now we have sweet f all again
Last thing freo needs is a ruckmanCould we actually still get Mitch Edwards now that he has slid out of top 10 Calculations?
Not necessarily. I agree wouldn’t be main target. Reidy albeit in his first season from VFL and has improved seems to be quite a lumbering and at times slow ruckman. Doesn’t get much of the ball or get into positions to get the ball.Last thing freo needs is a ruckman
Id say your right but if Darcy was to leave all of the sudden we doLast thing freo needs is a ruckman
You never know, he could last to our North Melbourne PickNot necessarily. I agree wouldn’t be main target. Reidy albeit in his first season from VFL and has improved seems to be quite a lumbering and at times slow ruckman. Doesn’t get much of the ball or get into positions to get the ball.
Mitch won’t last to pick 40 so I feel this is mute anyway and would be a target for West Coast with a pick late teens or early 20’s.
I wish, even with a poor combine a team would still take a punt on him inside the top 40.Just consider Mitch Edwards a marking tall forward who can pinch hit in the ruck, get him to run poorly at the combine and take him in the 40s matching a bid.
Don’t think they’d waste pick 21 on a ruckman when you have Darcy & Jackson. Even if Edwards was on the board at 21 don’t think they’d take himNot necessarily. I agree wouldn’t be main target. Henry is goneI think I’d riot, as we have TWO rucks in the wings after Sean and Luke.
we need: small and medium forwards, a big bodied mid, and a KPB.
I think Stanley will cover the wing and Henry/Drizz (when he extracts the digit/Chappy can cover the other wing
They should tell Clark to get in the gym over summer and have him swap roles with aish for next yearWe don't need a big bodied mid. Johnson, Erasmus are 190+. Jackson plays time, NoD was a mid (187) as a junior and even Chapman and/or Young could end up in there.
Our midfield lacks speed and goal kicking, that's what we should target.
If we have speedy wings like Stanley that could solve that issue. Rotate Switta through there and we will be fine.We don't need a big bodied mid. Johnson, Erasmus are 190+. Jackson plays time, NoD was a mid (187) as a junior and even Chapman and/or Young could end up in there.

Problem with that is our already dire ball movement from the back half will get worse. They should tell Clark to get in the gym over summer and have him swap roles with aish for next year
Wings help but it's not doing it for me alone. Switta has a go but he's not serious and not a high percentage mid.If we have speedy wings like Stanley that could solve that issue. Rotate Switta through there and we will be fine.
For centre clearences yes I don't think it's as valuable around the ground. No good team will allow a mid to sprint unchecked through a stoppage. Speed is more useful in open space and outside the stoppage. Again if your gameplan is good enough than this becomes a non-issue.Problem with that is our already dire ball movement from the back half will get worse.

We need the constant threat of speed in the middle.
He is 177 cm which is quite small.Isn't AOD the perfect selection then?
