Hardly.

Glenelg just took their chances, all finals series for that matter.

Twig made an emotional and incorrect decision to pick Panos which backfired when they had an early injury.
Glenelg did take their chances, McBean kicking 7 straight isn’t a Norwood choke.

Hosie 2 cheap frees for goals, blatant Norwood free missed 35 out in front.

Bays player missed games for taking out Heard, no free.

But yes Panos shouldn’t have played.

Nah they were all there in the first half, Bays were sloppy.

So was it a free to Lowe that wasn’t paid with 30 secs to go?
Probably, but let's go through them all shall we.

Much like the Keays decision you could forensically analyse everything. I'd say Harry Boyd spending a lot of time off the field with the blood rule was as big of a contributor as any

Youd like to bring fresh eyes into the program, and one whos just been involved in a premiership environment is a perfect person to get. Plus the added bonus of being a VERY good player at the level.
Which would be why we brought Murray Davis onboard.

Lyon just left his run too late. Might have been considered if he'd lodged his application 6 months earlier, giving the AFC the option of releasing one of our existing assistant coaches.

Wasn't treated badly here at all, and he got to the club he wanted to go to.

Not being paid as much as you'd like isn't necessarily being treated badly.
Not the way it was viewed by him.

He wanted to stay. He was offered a 'FU' contract that was less than his existing contract. It was made very clear they didn't want him.

In what role though?

We'd obviously already teed up Murray Davis from the very same program at a much higher level of experience?

Given our coaching dept has been the source of much frustration I wouldve thought beefing it up more is a good idea. And again, he'd be the perfect player for our SANFL side.

Clubs have a finite soft cap for spending on the football departments, including assistant coaches. Also, the AFL requires clubs to give their assistants 6 months notice if they are to be fired.

If we were to sign Lyon, then we would have had to sack one of our other assistant coaches. We couldn't just hire him as an additional coach, because of the Davis hiring and the soft cap. We couldn't fire one of the assistants, and hire Lyon as a replacement, because his application came in too late for us to take this action.

In any case, the coaching dept has been beefed up with the hiring of Murray Davis.

Any truth to the rumour of Schuback signing as a sanfl player? Would be a great get as he was a very handy play for South's
Could possibly be on because he told South he was moving to another SANFL club d a couple of weeks ago due to travel....Crows is closer to train.
