A few games as sub early in the year will be good for him i think. First year players always hit a wall at some stage but hopefully we can keep him somewhat fresh to get him still firing at the end of the year. Yesterday i couldn't help picture him and rankine with their speed from stoppage on the spaces of the MCG in a final.

Hopefully we can see it this week.

Anyone notice that 2nd effort to tackle on the boundary line fwd pocket southern end, last quarter? It was really a special effort. Not many footballers can do what this kid does.

On SM-A256E using BigFooty.com mobile app
Yes unfortunately basically none of our players did though.

How good is it to have a great young mid prospect who is local, loves the Crows, and we don't have to worry about him going home or holding out for a big contract?
Him and Thilthorpe being SA boys and Crows supporters available to us right at the top of the draft is extremely fortunate.

For sure.
Juat look at Thilthorpe, if he was a Victorian kid there would be Vic clubs throwing 1.5-2.0 mill year for 6 years at him.
He is totally worth what Mac Andrews is, and we saw the numbers he was getting, and which GC had to match to keep him.
Reily just re-signed for long term, on unders, no fuss, no wait until the end of the season, just got it done.
The interstate clubs know he isn't leaving so they don't even bother to waste their times.
Ain't no way Reily is going to upset his grandma by moving from the club they both sat on the couch together supporting.

South Australians & country Victorians appears the best way to go for the bulk of our squad.

Certainly more made from SA now.

Don't forget Max & Fog too as high end picks.

There were plenty of great looking midfielder's in his draft but he was the one I wanted most. So stoked we got him. The best thing is he's an SA boy and loved the Crow's. We don't have to worry about any go home factor with this kid.
In hindsight it's actually good we had a S**T season last year so we could snag him.

what's Josh Money been up to lately? 🤡
Following Hinkley to ask him the question Kornes apparently posed last night as to whether he last lost the passion for the job.

Staying away from the Crows hopefully

Neither club likes him, Hinkley had him on toast today.

Players wanting to play for the team they support is becoming more of a thing, according to some media heads in Vic.
Listening to ANB saying how he loved the club growing up and being able to play for them is a dream come true shows this is something we need to lean into more.
Current players that we know supported the club growing up.
Draper
Thillthorpe
Dawson
Rankine
ANB
Michaelanny
Laird
Hinge
Milera
Schoenberg
Dowling
Cook
Welsh

You would have to think we have one of the highest ratios of players who support the club.

Add Tex, Murphy and Burgess to that list, I reckon. Not sure about Laird. But yeah, having close to half the squad be supporters of the club is definitely a nice spot to be in.
