Surely we take whoever is available out of Draper & Smith.Wowee I'm sold
It really should be that simple.

Full season highlights for Jagga Smith, the most consistent performer in this years draft pool. He was a relentless accumulator of the footy no matter the opponent or the level he played at, and displayed some elite AFL level attributes along the way. He may not ultimately end up being taken at pick 1, but he's the most risk free of the elite prospects at the pointy end of the pool.
I think you’ll likely take whoever we don’t.Surely we take whoever is available out of Draper & Smith.

Yes & I'm honestly excited about both of them, so not really fussed.I think you’ll likely take whoever we don’t.
They could have kept picked 3 and Picked FOS and it would help keep Reid but they ****ed around on the Barrass deal. And West Coast have enabled this by gifting them pick 3? If so everyone at West Coast needs to be fired the second the trade request comes in.
Interesting predictions here:
I know, I'm just more cynical given the pay packet and length of contract were extraordinary.Yes there was probably multiple reasons, his friendship was one of them.
Lukosius on his friendship with Connor Rozee
“He was very excited (when I told him I was coming to Port Adelaide). He was great…he kind of was pushing for me to go to Port, but knew I had to make my own call for my own journey (so) he kept a bit of a distance. And then I told him on Brownlow night, and he was stoked and we had a couple of beers together. So it was great.

Sid is my preferred because he is a sa kid. But jagga looks just as good and maybe even better. Reminds me of daicos and butters.
Daicos is a better kick IMO, I think the Butters comparison is pretty appropriateButters is the one he reminded me of...of course I'm all good people comparing him to Daicos
Butters is a fair bit more dynamic and has more hurt factor than Jagga Smith IMO and has been right back to the U18'sDaicos is a better kick IMO, I think the Butters comparison is pretty appropriate
Good think I was talking about Draper thenButters is a fair bit more dynamic and has more hurt factor than Jagga Smith IMO and has been right back to the U18's
I'm very happy with either but I'm still marginally leaning towards Draper. While he's not as clean as Jagga to me he has a frame better built for ball winning and bursting from the stoppage at AFL level. Jagga's light frame is causally related to his speed and zippiness: two of his best attributes. I'm curious how that is impacted when he needs to develop a bigger frame to compete in an AFL midfield. Butters and Daicos types can get away with it more because they're less reliant on pure ball-winning ability and more-so on their damage ball in hand. I don't want to sound like I'm bashing him though, Jagga and Draper are both guns and I'm happy with either.I know it’s only highlights but I struggle to see how him and Draper are in the same conversation.
I know Draper has better burst speed but Smith gets the ball and then gets to the outside, giving himself time and space again and again - amazingly agile, and has very clean and attacking disposal. What’s not to like?
Yeah he has better disposal and footy iq. Would be happy with Smith.I know it’s only highlights but I struggle to see how him and Draper are in the same conversation.

#naturalmidfielderI'm sure all the other guys are quality too (they're just names on a page to me) but I loved those Smith highlights
I liked the way he gathered awkward, misplaced handballs that placed him under pressure (a crucial skill if he's going to succeed here)
Also that while he was gathering the ball he had real awareness of what's around him. Could evade tackles whilst scanning for options. Seems to take care with possessions. Doesn't panic bomb (Nicks will hate him).
Can manoeuvre out of a tight spot. We haven't had a mid in that style before. A Sam Mitchell, capable of being creative even when there's high pressure/congestion.
If he's still there at Pick 4 Harps, you know what to do.
Wait... is his girlfriend the Melbourne Lord Mayor's daughter or anything...?
I had such high hopes for Schoenberg when he first came into the side. I remember his first season he looked really good. He never went on with it though and actually went backwards from then. Not sure if it is to do with talent or just lack of commitment.
