Can someone explain why port would need to jump west coast, if they wanted the same player they aren’t letting port jump them for pick 45.
Port just chucked 45 down the drain?

Why would they do that - WCE almost a Monty to take Bo Allan - Port might have got fleeced for that 3rd rounder.

Nice player Berry, but I thought tall forward for them since they traded in and had a number of small forwards already?

West Coast fleeced Port there. Were never taking Berry.

Port took the deal in fear that Freo might've been the backup to trade up ahead of them.

Probably threaten them they will swap pick with Fremantle but not sure why they target a small forward since they already recruited Richards.

They could've done with a tall forward, but they also need a high-quality small. Berry's a good get for them

They’ve had to play Narkle, Mead, Evans and McIntee a lot of 2024, they clearly need a quality small too. I guess they think Luko takes Dixon’s spot.

Tbh they need a KPF too, but this is the issue you have when you keep bombing out early in finals and never have enough high picks

I don't mind the Berry pick for Port there. Good pair with Rioli and if you're thinking Butters is going, a small forward is probably the best bet to try to jag a flag.

Eagles have done well there, Bo Allan is every bit as good as most in the top 10 and is a local

Neither Anastasopoulos or Charleson really had standout years (though in a terrible side)

This is a bonafide gun small forward for them
