Whether we draft a tall forward or Lord and Esava get first crack, it must be mentioned that whoever it is will more than likely be getting the 3rd best tall defender every week.Re Ratugolea, hopefully kern took note of Aliir having to tell him to pick up his opponent when he was tried as a key defender, and then later in the season when he was played as a key forward and Georgiadis motioned to him to get out of the way!
Both those situations unfortunately reflected on the blokes lack of footy nous which should relegate him to a back up player in an emergency only, but as you suggest the kernster has been known to go back to the same well time and time again and then nothing changes but the date on the calendar, so I too have no great hopes for 2025.
I also expect Lord will get plenty of opportunities to become the `gorilla' forward to compliment the likes of Georgiadis and Luko, and he could rise to the occasion if he has a trouble free preseason and can hit the ground running.
I'm not even going to mention the first rounder we gave to Freo which stands at 17 at the moment for some draft capital to get Esava and Soldo or whatever it was. It's criminal that we aren't speaking about what to do with the top 5 pick that we got for losing Houston....
Hasn’t the indication been that his preference is to play in Victoria if anything?Perhaps Draper has been giving out JHF vibes to recruiters. Good lad. I think JHF leaving after 1 year has made a few recruiters nervous of star SA youngsters. Let's hope so. Would be as good as when Chad slipped to us.
You need to get a room, Macca.Im that hot on Draper i just dont see how that happens.
No, he is off to the Asian war................im predicting we like smillie
It wasn't about moving ahead of Essendon. And the last time we traded a future 2nd to move from 14 to 12 to get Sinn, were we even sure that Essendon were going to pick Sinn with 13? And hindsight suggests it wasn’t worth it.
He said the standard “I’d love to play for a big club in Victoria line”.Hasn’t the indication been that his preference is to play in Victoria if anything?
It's the standard line for gun draftees who don't want to play for the Crows (see JHF)He said the standard “I’d love to play for a big club in Victoria line”.
Bergman doesn't have the kick or the decision making for the Houston role. Farrell or even Williams. He comes in and plays as a 3rd tall, Bergman maybe moves further up into the Houston role
back forcing out Sinn or JonesWhere does Tauru play in the our team? Do we drop out Sinn again or play Tauru forward?
A backline of Bergman, Tauru and Logan Evans is versatile, athletic and tall.
Hypothetically speaking, based on C4’s information.
Richmond Bid on Ashcroft at #1 and trade #2 and #11 and #25 out and receive #14, #15 and #23.
Port trade #14 and #30 out, receiving #11 and #32
GWS Trade #15, #23 and #32, receiving #2, #25 and #30
?
How many draft picks they going to use?So Richmond trade 2 and 11 down to 14 and 15 to get a 2 pick upgrade on 25?
I dont think youve thought this through
clubs see him as a midfielder... in the futureHe is the one I don’t want to trade up for. Don’t get me wrong, he looks like a really good player, but it’s another half back.
Happy for clubs to see it that way. I am not sure I do.clubs see him as a midfielder... in the future
Exactly like Will day.
Yeah, that did that last year with the younger Duursma but they would really be after some players to add to their spine.Someone like Lalor at 2 would be worthwhile for them to play as a fwd/mid
Could we go bananas and pick up Tauru and play his as the 3rd tall. I don't think so.back forcing out Sinn or Jones
