If Bo Allan is there, you just take him.

Hotton is the sexy pick but Shanahan fills a real need with some great talent. Sure, there is more of a possibility he will dud out compared to the 6 footers in that neck of the woods of the draft but sometimes you've got to pick up a KPF earlyish to balance the team.

39. JACK OUGH
Position:
Wing/midfielder
Size: 194cm
Clubs: GWV Rebels/Wentworth
AFL player comparison: Joel Freijah

From this comparison all I can think is, who does Joel Freijah play like that I may actually have seen on an AFL list before?

46. ADRIAN COLE
Position:
Tall defender
Size: 194cm
Clubs: Sandringham Dragons/St Bedes-Mentone
AFL player comparison: Dougal Howard

One for Saints fans to get excited about, as Cole is part of the club’s NGA.

Saints fans getting excited about another Dougal Howard?

And the 48, 49 and 50 that don't even have a comparison. Like the Fox writers have just given up.

Hes kind of like a Wanganeen-Milera in the way he plays. Tall, can play wing/mid/hb and makes smart/safe decisions with the ball

The Brisbane trade doesnt work because 27 will be eaten up in the Ashcroft selection, hopefully at pick 1
That is precisely why Brisbane could trade their pick 27 (703 points) for our 36 (502 points) & 50 (273) a combined 775 is an increase of 72 points.

West Coast have the immediate pick before us where I reckon Allan would have been factored in when they split their Pick Three.

Its pronounced Jack Ow (Ough) not Off

I've heard it pronounced Off by some commentators.

Maybe it's like one of those Celtic names that is pronounced entirely differently to how it's written so he is actually Jack Cassidy.

Out of our key forwards only Georgiades looks like consistently performing

We hope Lukosius does (I think he will)
Marshall gets concussed every time he steps foot on the field
Finlayson had a terrible year and would be 50/50 to stay on the list if he has another terrible year
Lord went backwards at a rate of knots and may not be the answer
Ratugolea kicked 0.1 in his last 6 games playing as a KPF

There are question marks on all bar 1 of our KPFs. There is a very decent chance that at the end of next year, Marshall is retired due to concussions, Lord proves to be not good enough and Finlayson spends half the year in the reserves. At that point, our KPF stocks would be almost all timey bad.

Will we pick a KPF early? I personally don't think we will, but I think it should definitely be part of our discussion, if Shanahan is still on the board at our pick
Lord came into the year injured and never got going because of it. He is still young and has time, next year we will see.
Yes Marshall isn't it at all needs to play a lot of SANFL next year and only come in with injury, but we will be fine with Georgiadis Luko and Lord.

We need another small forward who can actually score and some back up mids who can play wing or half forward,
We can get another project forward with a later pick.

Yea the commentators did say Off but their was confirmation by him (Jack) via a radio interview its "Ow".

I can't imagine what school would have been like for him otherwise

Brisbane traded picks 32 and 45 to get pick 27. Can’t see them trading back for 2 worse picks.

It was weird at the time as they lost 200 points on that deal, but from what I understand they had only so many picks they could carry to the draft to match bids. (Happy to have this explained if I have misunderstood.)

So they wouldn't sacrifice their one pick for two from us even if they get more points for our two picks.

I know we’re all guilty of becoming fixated on certain players. I definitely wasn’t even thinking of a small forward to draft but this kid has something special.

And kudos to the person running this YouTube channel, I love that it’s all their game involvements not just highlights. I’m also of the opinion that whoever selects Jagga Smith will have the best player in the draft, absolute freak.

Bet my bottom dollar that when interviewed, he will say that he 'models his game on Zac Butters.'

He certainly plays and hints the ball a bit like him.
