Not surprised that Whitlock slid at all and there's quite a clear reason for it. Still trying to figure out what the flaw with Shanahan his, could be that he didnt interview well and maybe clubs are a bit put off by his ground ball work. If Shanahan isn't at our next pick, I would genuinely just take Angus Clarke and then take West at the next pick and call it a night. If Barrett gets through then we still have 94 which will be in the 60s so here I'd take Hargrave. If there's a bid on Barrett just match it. Another small forward wont hurt. We can be like Chelsea with their goalkeepers.Quite simply, we need to land Shanahan or Whitlock with next pick. Crazy that they are still there.
We cannot waste this opportunity
Make it happen Portz.
Shanahan or Whitlock I can handle. Outside that it seems like we've missed a trick.Praying we get Shanahan. If we do it’ll be great drafting but there is a very fine line between that and completely cocking it up which we are walking atm.
Add Jay Polkinghorne to that list, less runs on the board due to injuries but higher potential than West, Nicholls and Rosenzweig imoALEX DODSON (Sturt) Ruck, 17, 203cm
Jacob Molier (Sturt), 201cm Ruck/Forward
Jack Whitlock Murray Bushrangers/Vic Country – RUCK/FWD, 200cm
Kayle Gerreyn West Perth/Western Australia FWD/RUC, 199cm
Noah Mraz Dandenong Stingrays/Vic Country DEF, 198cm
CHARLIE NICHOLLS (Central District Key forward,, 197cm
TALLAN ROSENZWEIG (Central District Key forward, 197cm
Jobe Shanahan, Bendigo key forward, 195cm
CHARLIE WEST (Woodville-West Torrens) Key forward/ruck, 195cm
ANGUS CLARKE (Glenelg) Defender, 188cm
We like Vic country (Whitlock) and Allies country (Shanahan) picks. Whitlock would have played with Berry, so there will be an additional attraction there for us.Quite simply, we need to land Shanahan or Whitlock with next pick. Crazy that they are still there.

Be good for our rookie pickAdd Jay Polkinghorne to that list, less runs on the board due to injuries but higher potential than West, Nicholls and Rosenzweig imo
I'm hoping it's a Ben King/Max King type situation where the 2nd one is actually betterIf we were going to pick a Whitlock, it should have been Matt
I was told a while ago that we have no interest in Dodson because we have 3 of them on the list and that is currently not a need at all, while we have other deficienciesWe like Vic country (Whitlock) and Allies country (Shanahan) picks. Whitlock would have played with Berry, so there will be an additional attraction there for us.
Wonder how we rate them, especially when you add in Dodson, Gerryn, Clarke etc
Would
Funny you say that, because almost everyone rated Jack higher than Matt. I was the opposite but I had both well in the 30s because their strengths are all athletic based and not football fundamental based. North did the smart thing and took the "2nd one" already hahaI'm hoping it's a Ben King/Max King type situation where the 2nd one is actually better

Talk about starting from a low baseI guess Richards, Berry and Barrett has more upside than Narkle, Evans and Mcintee

Could only really see west coast for pick 30 and 44, but not sure if they would do that. I think we stay where we are and take best available. Maybe a tall forward and tall defender. One of shanahan, Whitlock or Gerreyn, and one of mraz or Barrat.Should we trade 33 and 38 to ensure we get Shanahan or Whitlock? If we don't I feel like they will be gone.

Really don’t want another light small after taking Berry. As soon as we took Berry I wiped Dolan and Hayes off my list.Josh Dolan.
Still like and Twomey has us talking to him.
Essendon will have to pay overs to move to pick 28. Surely they aren’t foolish enough for that.Reckon Essendon will be trying to trade up with Richmond or WB to get Shanahan.
Yeah Bulldogs would be looking for outside run, Alger/Moreas/ClarkeEssendon will have to pay overs to move to pick 28. Surely they aren’t foolish enough for that.
No way dogs are interested in drafting another tall with their tall stocks.

How many small forwards do we want haha? There's also Barrett linked to us, this is getting a bit strange now.Josh Dolan.

Recruiters all seem to agreeDebatable.
If the Eagles traded to Freo there would have been an agreement that Freo would not pick Allen where the Eagles would not do their cross town rivals any favours. If West Coast traded their pick to Fremantle then Fremantle get Berry and Port get Bo Allen. So then West Coast lose out on getting Bo Allen. So can anyone explain to me why they would consider doing that? And if there is not explanation, why did we give them our pick?
