Kearns has definitely been working on her kicking and it's improved out of sight - that was a great bullet kick, but mark not held

Kate Kenny's been able to get to the drop of the ball a few times already which is promising. Hasn't been able to do much with it yet, but that will come. It's a good sign she seems to be able to read the play already.

I'm glad we stuck with Kearns - her first season she was a crash & bash option and maybe some uncertainty about how'd she develop

But she's become a very good option in our defensive unit and taking steps each time we see her now

At stoppages around the ground, Melbourne is trying to tap it to the back of the pack everytime and then take it through the middle

We need to wake up to it and get someone defensive side, otherwise Melbourne will keep getting easy clearances that way

I like Darby and think she's in our best team, but not sure she's the right option to be leading our ruck

If the opportunity presents, I'd like to see what Lilly Pearce has to offer - she's 5cm taller than Darby, and helps to put us in a position where straight away we aren't giving away multiple centimetres to the opposition ruck
