GWS pretty much had the draft that I wanted us to have. They got two classy players who can impact in the forward half of the ball, and a good ball using small with leadership skills off the back line. All have at least decent to good pace.Well, this happened. Not the way Mojorisin predicted, but still...

Meanwhile, for all the talk of injecting class and pace into the squad. Gut feels tell me we will fall short and be stuck with guys with questionable kicking or lack of pace for the most part. I liked the Hynes pick for where we were pick wise though, as others mentioned would have been reaching.
Both teams have declined the Bombers offer.
Already mentioned I liked the Hynes pick for that reason in a few posts. Hynes was the right player for pick 17 (21). We would have reached a little to much if we went for our other links at 21 instead.Class and pace are great, but so is grunt and Hynes can deliver that in spades.
What about Melbourne future first ?I’d do 29 and F2 for 39 and Essendon’s F1
Do we have a better offerBoth teams have declined the Bombers offer.
Sign me up.What about Melbourne future first ?

They may improve their offer. Don't believe we want to give up anything in next years draft.Do we have a better offer
Dons F1 is very juicy.Fox article says both Essendon and Gold Coast are floating future firsts to move up. Would be a little disappointed if we didn't exploit one of those for our pick 29
I don’t understand, you should have the favour over Richmond cause you can send a future second round pick back to us, they don’t have a future second or third pick ?Fox article says both Essendon and Gold Coast are floating future firsts to move up. No point doing the trade with us if Tigers take the target a pick earlier.I don’t understand, you should have the favour over Richmond cause you can send a future second round pick back to us, they don’t have a future second or third pick ?
I mean the original offer that you mentioned had us giving up just a F3, which will be crap house pick in a very compromised draft. So not sure why we would be bothered about giving that one up if it meant getting a F2 or F1 back. They may improve their offer. Don't believe we want to give up anything in next years draft.
I assume it’s either Shanahan or Whitlock? No point doing the trade with us if Tigers take the target a pick earlier.

7pm again. But the picks will move a lot faster than last night. So our next two picks should be done within the first 30 minutes. What times it kick off tonight ?
I'd imagine if they gave up one of the F1s we'd be more inclined to move on the F3 but for the F2 that was offered dogs were only prepared to send 29.I mean the original offer that you mentioned had us giving up just a F3, which will be crap house pick in a very compromised draft. Yes these deals are always conditional, we had a more favourable deal lined up with Fremantle but their target must've gone last night.I am guessing it comes down to this move. If the Tigers, or someone else getting and using that Tigers pick. Takes the one who is in bigger demand, then teams will not offer us much to trade up. But if someone takes the other less in demand player, or neither of the two, then our phone will possibly ring hot?
Almost as good as 'WTF did we pick that guy? Sack Power. What are we even doing? We're a joke'.
Love it.

We are probably waiting to see if Essendon pop their heads over the parapet with a Future 1st somehow involved. Given we have a second pick straight after West Coast we should absolutely be seeing if we can max value something here. I’d still like Moreas or Davis but they’ll take a tall for sure. Both teams have declined the Bombers offer.

Show me the post that was anywhere near this dramaticAlmost as good as 'WTF did we pick that guy? Sack Power. What are we even doing? We're a joke'.
