Not rapt with his injury history, and we have Fox in the short term, but maybe as a medium defensive option if injuries strike several players. No point as a half back.

We don’t have much after Fox though

Probably suggests Mills back into the Midfield mix i would think.

The absolute dream would be it means Mills into the midfield mix alongside Rowy and Heeney with Gus as bench mid. Warner to have less mid time and play as a marking forward with 30-40% on ball time. Thus 1 less KPF

Saw something similar re. Hawks

19 and F3, for 33 and F1 (linked to Carlton)
Think thats a big win next year tbh because it could allow us extra currency to match our 3 but allow us potentially a chance of getting a first that gets ahead of the matches

The other 8 and 32 for 19 22 and 44 is probably an even bigger win tbh.

Swans would be laughing at the Saints

8 turns into 11

19 turns into 22/23

22 turns into 26

32 turns into something like 34

44 actually turns into 40

So its effectively 11 and 34 for 22 26 and 40

Equivalent to 11 and 63 for 22 and 26. Don't think thats an even trade when you simplify the two later picks let alone just 11 for 22 and 26.

And our track history of Top 10 picks outside of the academy is….?
How far back we going? Not like we've had too many of late

Still I'd take McVeigh, Fosdike, Crouch, Bolton and even Rohan.

Rocca and Grant were good players.

Yeah Stephens was a whiff but Logan will play out as a Swan

I'm hearing Saints picks 8 and 32 for Swans 19, 22, 44.

Seems odd that we'd open up more senior list spots (Francis & Hamling) if we only intended to take 2 at the draft.

(and yes, I know, we also have pick 59 .... but really, are we hanging our hopes on finding a good 'un at 59?)

59 will come in. And yes, we could find a good player there, plenty of late picks have turned out well. Neale was pick 58. Dawson was in the 50s, we used pick 53 last year.

Plus it gives us the option to take someone before another 16 rookie selections if we were otherwise going to wait until the rookie draft.

If you're thinking about mature agers it's not a bad pick to have/use.
