If we could get both the Whitlock twins, would we want them? Is it a bonus to pair them/will it reduce 'go home' factor? Thoughts? If we want mids or smalls they will be easier to find later on.

I'm not following the draft too closely but I know many of you are and so I'm interested to know what you think.

Go home to the border , it's not like going home to Melbourne

Not remotely interested in both, one is more than enough we have needs and they aren't only key talls. We take both where we getting the small forward from and there isn't going to be any at our third rounder that are remotely AFL ready. We also need some inside mid help too, a small defender for the future, and maybe a medium forward.

IMO, very overrated, give me DGB vibes

Matt I rate highly, Jack is solid not sure on the latter. If we are going a tall we are out of the Armstrong range. Shanhan might be there even he has limitations though

I don't think there has ever been a name better than Lombard's

Leonardo Lombard

Just wow
How about the poor girl that just escaped from a Perth prison:

Khe-Sanh Michealah Farrel.

Some parents never give their kids a chance at life.

Leonardo Lombard, on the other hand, is destined for greatness.

Think Shanahan lasts till our pick, though Richmond will be hard to know what split they do and where they take their talls. They trade at least 1-2 of these to next year. In my mock had Essendons f1 being the one they were going for and it makes sense.

If it comes to draft night and Richmond hasn't done any trades I can see 19+44 for 23+24 being a possibility, gives both teams a block of 3 picks in a row - Richmonds block will be easy to offload for futures. Under that scenario you can probably forget Shanahan

If we go both Whitlocks, or two talls, it tells me we are in a quiet rebuild.

Ruck last year, KPP's this year - tells me we are getting our pillars in place for the next wave and we're happy enough with our squad in the short term

I think they're both far more aggressive than DGB and have a bigger frame to build on.

you do wonder how much other key player sibling pairs play in to it their draft value. McGovern, McKay, DeKoning.... still, I think they're good value in the 20's

Talls help you rebuild on the run and let’s be honest here are Amartey or McLean going to cut it?

My gut feel is Shanahan goes later than a lot think. He has clear drawbacks that may be issues at the top level

It takes a while to get most KPFs up to speed. We've been lucky to get as much from McDonald as soon as we have. We don't know if Buller will make it so getting at least one KPF into the pipeline is just good succession planning.
If Buller pushes one of the current 3 out, well and good. A draftee is unlikely to reach that quality inside two or three years. Cadman, #1 pick, has taken 18 months to start producing.
Pretty sure we'd still be interested in getting up to Armstrong if we can find a way.
