If I were Richmond's list boss I'd be arranging some sweet watch or other accessory deals right now with the amount of airtime I'd be getting on draft night.

Also would be an absolute dream to be in charge of those selections.

Richmond effectively got #3 for Bolton in value which is like #12 and #18 when you consider the drop in points for the 2025 draft picks. Also helps out West Coast cause Allan will probably be there now at #12 (#14)

How good for Richmond. They win 3 flags and then get all these top picks in what is rumoured to be a deep draft, to kick start their rebuild. Good for them.

Easier when you trade with a bunch of planks called GC for half of them

Much easier said than done to nail a rebuild this aggressively though. Yze is in for a very hard few years. And the next guy might be in no better shape.

It could be the formative years of GWS again

They aren’t that bad and there’s plenty of talent there this is smart pillage the draft before Tasmania do

It could be. But I doubt it.

GWS built their club with absolutely no media interest to put any pressure on. And you've got to give it to them that they have become such a good club from foundation.

I'm not convinced Richmond has a sustainable foundation to build a lasting excellent club upon. They seem to have this reputation as being this great club seemingly because they had an incredible four year run with Hardwick who is clearly a very good coach and they built it around four generational players in Martin, Riewoldt, Cotchin, and Rance. I'm not convinced this club is just gonna generate another historic run on the back of this draft because I'm not convinced the infrastructure of the club are in place to do it. They've lost Hardwick, Brendon Gale, Peggy O'Neal plus some other senior executives lately so they don't have consistency there, so they not only have to build a list but they have to build a new infrastructure of the club to make it all happen.

Then add into that the historically impatient Tigers fanbase and media spotlight; sure, right now they would know that they are gonna be really bad but what if they're still really bad in three years' time? I think they're gonna be a club under intense scrutiny for many years and without a core experienced senior group or executive core, they're gonna struggle.

I reckon they're in for a rough next decade personally. I think they'll be much more like North's past decade than anyone appears to be predicting.

The most surprising thing of trade week was easily that Rory Atkins was still playing lol

Richmond will struggle to win a game next season but they would know that it only becomes a problem if they start losing by 15 goals every week.

Bare in mind half their midfield was injured most of the year with Tarranto and Hopper add those two in and it’s better

Some swans idiot sooking up on SEN saying we should get Stringer .
People just don't understand that we haven't got much room to move because of all the players we have resigned . KB has said this a few times. Remember we finished on top of the ladder
Never stopped Geelong.

I'm still trying to grasp what in the absolute hell Port Adelaide are doing. They had the best player in trade period and walked away with horrendous unders...and then THANKED Connors Sports Group. It's bordering on AFL stepping in and investigating haha.

Yes but chief among the players we re-signed were Florent, Hayward & McDonald, who shouldn't be on much at all.

This is a club that wanted Rory Atkins and actually thought Ratagolea was a good defender

Nothing should surprise you

Oh and they haven’t booted their coach

Everyone talks about how good a draft hand Richmond have , which is true but let's also look at what they've lost. Their current B&F winner (Rioli), their best forward (Bolton), their Mr Fixit i(Baker) and free agent Graham. Add to that the retirements of their captain )Grimes) and another reasonably handy player (Martin).
So even if they get most of these draft picks right, they are not going to be significantly better off than they were last year.
I remember in 2004 when they had 5 picks in the first 20 and they all proved to be duds other than Delidio.

Yep they will probably be a 0 or 1 win team in 2025 but should start to be balanced and a good side come Tassies entry in 2027 imo. It takes time but if they don't go for 6 midfielders this year and balance it out then in the long run they will be better
