Very happy with how we’ve performed the last 5-6 weeks but I still can’t escape the thought in the back of my mind that we are going to need more elite talent to compete with the Gold Coasts and Sydney’s of the world over the next 5 years.

Adding another top 10 pick this year and trading our future first for Baz would be a good start. All that would be left would be to grab a few KP free agents.

Im not sure a top 10 pick in this years draft will deliver the elite talent you're after. They might be elite relative to this draft class, but when on an afl list, it doesn't seem like its a great draft.. Maybe there are a few that could be high level players.

That's just the vibe I get from the commentary of this years draft.

Reads the play well, kills the ball when it's in his vicinity and doesn't shirk a contest from what I've seen of him. The religious BHH watches might be able to elaborate more.

Thread ban on talking about GWS players please- we never get any decent targets from them as they have no salary cap so can always match/beat our offers…

The ones we do get are cooked salary dumps/spuds that they are happy to let go - see O’Rourke, Patton, Scully, Jed Anderson
