Yes and no.We’re no chance if we can’t win a game.
We are staring down at a 4 win season at present.
If McKay wouldn’t come you’re delusional thinking Taylor will.
Yes and no.
McKay was a bombers fan as a kid, who lives on that side of town. Was he ever really interested in moving to Hawthorn? Not sure we’d ever really know, but it’s likely he was always set on Essendon.
Taylor grew up a big time Hawk fan, who is now playing in front of no one most weeks.
Would he like to play at the MCG for the club he followed as a kid? Maybe.
Offer him 6-8 years on 1m+ and he might very well be interested to play for his boy hood club under a player he loved, regardless of our wins column.
Worth a shot, and not outside the realms of belief that he might be interested in a move.

Taylor is OOC this yearThis is more like it Much better idea spending huge coin and draft capital on a KPP then Smith. Even better if we miss Taylor this year and he puts contract talks on hold until the end of next year Buddy style
OOC & RFA next yearTaylor is OOC this year
Well there you goOOC & RFA next year
Giant defender Taylor set to receive massive offers from rivals: AFL Trade news
Sam Taylor is contracted at the Giants until the end of 2025.www.google.com
That is why we are keen on trading a first in. I hear Geelong already interested in Worpel. Hawks would drive a hard bargain, if at all, but a Geelong first and second might be on the table. Or swap him for Holmes and forget about Smith?I'd say we'd be offering a 6 year thumper on $1.5m a year. It'll be that eye watering he wont be able to say no.
Would cost 2 firsts. Doubt we'd have the capital to also trade for Baz.
Worth a shot.
Three way trade with Geelong / WB?That is why we are keen on trading a first in. I hear Geelong already interested in Worpel. Hawks would drive a hard bargain, if at all, but a Geelong first and second might be on the table. Or swap him for Holmes and forget about Smith?
There may be another factor against us in landing Taylor. He will never make AA again if he comes.
Ginnivan left the premiers to come to us. Taylor isn’t that blind he can’t see a young team on the rise. In the end if he chooses to leave GWS it will be because he gets a godfather offer too good to refuse!!We’re no chance if we can’t win a game.

Isn’t his girlfriend also from Melbourne. Thought I heard that a little while back.Yes and no.

If you are not being sarcastic, I am not sure about that. You forget where we might be in three years. There may be another factor against us in landing Taylor. He will never make AA again if he comes.
We were used. We will remember when the wheel turns. It will.Yes and no.

Geelong aren't going to get rid of their most promising mid with elite outside ability for Worpel though. That is why we are keen on trading a first in. I hear Geelong already interested in Worpel. I agree, it is a hypothetical thread though.Geelong aren't going to get rid of their most promising mid with elite outside ability for Worpel though.
Yep, no point trading for him, GWS will want the earth, and can’t blame them. They won’t do it anyway. Get him for nothing next year. Would offer this bloke $2 million a year. He is easily the best defender in the comp and still to be in his prime.Front end the Taylor contract to the shithouse- wait until he’s a free agent though- there’s no way we can afford to trade for him…
