If an 800k year contract nets you First round, I don't see why a club offer 600k a year for Nash wouldn't be in the ball park.

Good that we are going at Taylor but would seem unlikely he wants to move. I believe he is settled in Sydney and is part of a team on the verge. Regardless it’s time to draft a key defender to partner McCabe and maybe blanck long term. there are several to watch this year that will go later than our pick. Tough call whether we take an elite mid early or split the pick and get 2 top 20 players including a KP prospect.

We wouldn’t get compo for Nash if picked up Battle. Also no one paying Nash enough for end of first, would be 2nd at best (which may not be that different).

RFA next year.. make the play this year.. GWS wouldn’t move him for 3 first rounders so plant the seed this year and get him as a FA next year for free…GWS won’t have the cap space to compete.. doing a reserve Buddy deal..
