Nah, it was such a clear and obvious need we had for a gorilla defender. Shoenmakers was doing okay in some match ups but we were found out when he was isolated due to his lack of experience and strength.

In 1 offseason we got Lake and Spangher and now Gibson and Stratton didn't need to play tall as much or leave to help out as much.

Instead of hoping we'd manage a spoil in the long kick to the 1v1 we knew Lake would outmark the forward most of the time.

He was AA in I think 2009 and 2010 when that trade went through I was certain the 2013 flag was ours.

Blanck looks huge now, been on a bench in a lot of games, reckon comes back a bit different after all the extra study. But we still need one more

He knows that we’re already getting results like this while being the 2nd youngest list in the comp and improvement to come.

The “we’ll keep developing, hope to win a couple more games next year and maybe play finals” ideas can be forgotten.

Lake was a salary dump from the Bulldogs and we did a pick shuffle. You would only take Barrass for the same kind of deal.

The Dogs won’t want to trade English for Barrass as they want the band 1 compo for English.

Dress codes in the boxes are mostly at the discretion of the hosts. Being that he’s wearing a jersey of some description he doesn’t run afoul of the standard box dress codes. Not sure what point you’re trying to make but if you’re suggesting he wasn’t there you’re a tad mistaken being that posters here saw him there.

Personal view here but if our 1st this year is a top 12 then i wouldn't trade it for Barrass unless there was something coming back i.e. Eagles 2nd. If its any first round above that then i would trade it for him.

With a new coach coming in at the Eagles, you would think players like Barrass are well and truly up for grabs as he (new coach) would want as many early draft picks as possible before Tassie come in.
