And they say ok trade me to Collingwood and we end up with a future 2nd rounder.Of course.
Mitchell sits down w Ward and/or MacKenzie and tells them games will be scarce since our midfield is full. West coast will play them both as starting mids plus salary bumps.
It will be tempting.
Roughy must've spilled the beans at the deodorant launch last weekBaz must already be well engrained in the club if he knows we aren't signing Barrass but are definitely getting Battle. Mitchell must be letting him in on all the plans.
West Coast won’t want 2nd rounders as steak knives for Harley Reid. If you push a player out you don’t get anywhere near their trade value. Collingwood tried to trade Treloar to the Gold Coast for a top 5 pick and the Dogs ended up getting him for a bargain. You keeping saying none of our players will want to go WCE but they dont have too, have you heard off 3 way trades?
There wont be any pushing players out just maybe some honest conversations about playing time! Anyway I think H Reid is a pipe dreamWest Coast won’t want 2nd rounders as steak knives for Harley Reid. What’s in it for Harley?
Yes, it’s a Hypothetical thread. West Coast won’t be trading Harley Reid in his first three years. Likely he signs a $2million contract for his 4th year and then makes a decision on his long term future at the end of 2027.There wont be any pushing players out just maybe some honest conversations about playing time! Anyway I think H Reid is a pipe dream
It's funny that other 3-way trades have not rendered players worthless. And they say ok trade me to Collingwood and we end up with a future 2nd rounder.
Curtin wants to go back home to Perth. Eagles fans are caught in a bind. You keeping saying none of our players will want to go WCE but they dont have too, have you heard off 3 way trades?
I think that gets the convo started but I reckon it'll take more to get Reid and it would likely have one or more of our young talents going elsewhere.Curtin wants to go back home to Perth. Eagles fans are caught in a bind.
They have to argue why it is good to let Curtin go while also stating why Crows to take whatever deal Eagles offer while doing the reverse argument for Harley.
3 way trade with hawks could unlock this knot.
IMO Curtin + a first rounder should suffice for Reid.
Crows get a first rounder for Curtin.
hawks part with 2 first rounders for Reid.
if it does, then it should take more to get Curtin out of Crows.I think that gets the convo started but I reckon it'll take more to get Reid and it would likely have one or more of our young talents going elsewhere.
Can add him to the annual Noah Anderson and Finn Callaghan dreamsLol Harley Reid. Can see this being an annual pipe dream discussion.
He's very close to his sister, who has just moved to Melbourne. He's a WA boy. And his neck/back is Code F.
He would be crazy to uproot his family and move across the country when he is one more crunch away from not playing.
eagles are not rock bottom yet and need to find out who is IN for another 3 years of pain under a new coach as they begin to move out the vets and start the rebuild.
Harley Reid will be a VERY close watch as he looks to me like a very frustrated player on the ground at the moment.

Where's Amon?
I think we’ve given up on Anderson. Can add him to the annual Noah Anderson and Finn Callaghan dreams
If Harley Reid says bring me home Hawks, I doubt Sam Mitchell would have any hesitation moving on some much loved players to get the deal done.
There will be heart break like the Hodge deal. But Reid is a talent worth the trauma.
Ward, MacKenzie, Lewis and others could be on the table with our first and F1.
I am told this is true. He has also completed our medical due diligence.Almost requested a trade to Sydney last year and his sister lived in Sydney at the time, which was a big factor.
His sister is moving to Melbourne this year fwiw
Examples? It's funny that other 3-way trades have not rendered players worthless.
I think there's a propensity for cynicism on this board as much as fantasy.
BumpNash not going anywhere
