Rozee is shit.Neither LDU or Smith have much appeal to me.
Young, Rozee, Warner, JHF, Reid - that type of versatile, damaging mid-fwd is exactly what we need. I'm still pretty sure Mackenzie will develop into that for us.
Battle is Unrestricted - StFail can't match to force a tradeAren’t we getting Battle for less than what St Failure offered him?
listen to "Ramsay Hunt syndrome" as well. ****ing strangeNo, I was searching for Harry Perryman highlights on YouTube and I stumbled across it. Like another poster said...you need a wtf emoji.
It's bizarre, it feels like absurdist humour.
Just spitballing here but is there a chance that we could be trying to get our hands on another 2nd rounder? We could then look to trade that along with our 2024 2nd (from the Pies) + our F2nd for Smith? Dogs might be happy with 3 x 2nds in a deep draft or we could also look to move all 3 for someones 1st and then use that for Smith.I don't realistically believe we will be able to trade for Smith as we wont have the draft capital to please the Bulldogs due to our commitment to trade for Barrass. Both West Coast and the Dogs will most likely ask for multiple first round picks a demand we are most likely going to be unable to meet. So I think Barrass will eventually get done but Smith may prove to be unobtainable.
Barrass and battle nominated hawks straight away ... collingwood out of the finals would of nominated them if it was them so it's 100 percent geelongSmith will go to the club that pays him the most.
Seeing we went after Liam Henry last year in the trade period but he chose Saints, could we be looking to target another small forward and then push MacDonald or Ginni into the midfield more often.
He only wants to play inside mid.And Hawks don't need him. What position would he play?
So where does he fit? And he will be massively overpriced.
- We already have 5 centre square mids - Newk, Day, Worpel, Nash and Ward (+ Mckenzie and Mcginness).
- We are pretty well placed for wings (Mass, CJ, Morrison, McKenzie, Impey) and Smith does not even want to play that position anyway.
- And Weddle is going to end up somewhere in that mix
Hawks should have other priorities IMO.
Hawthorn were chasing Henry to play wing. Mitch Cleary actually said the other day if Henry came D'Ambrosio wouldnt of happened so pretty happy with how that all played outSeeing we went after Liam Henry last year in the trade period but he chose Saints, could we be looking to target another small forward and then push MacDonald or Ginni into the midfield more often.
Our first could be as low as pick 18 and with FS/Academy bs it could be into the 20s - so happy to give it for Barrass alternatively happy to do a ff and take this year's to the draft - apparently a deeper draft - might get some handy kind of player (Weddlesque - on the subject of that - Sleepy Mark needs some praise for that move - McKenzie and Weddle in one year and Watson Dear and McCabe the next - that's some dynasty building right thereGenuinely curious as to what it would take for us to land Barrass and Smith?
Battle comes for free
Barrass is worth a late first
Smith is worth a first and then some.
I'd do our future first and Collingwood's second/ a player like Serong for Barrass
I'd do our first, future second and a player along the HH mold for Smith
Don't know if either club would take either deal though.
Reading the Smith draft thread, it seems like Dogs will be happy with Cats First and F1 for Smith + Dogs 2nd.Genuinely curious as to what it would take for us to land Barrass and Smith?

That'd be well unders unless we send more to them I reckonReading the Smith draft thread, it seems like Dogs will be happy with Cats First and F1 for Smith + Dogs 2nd.
Cats seem to think two 2nds will need to come back. Dogs have 33 and 44 as first 2 picks this year. Atm I don't want Bailey but if he comes cheap, won't say no.
Cheap is our F1 for Smith + Dogs F2
And they will inevitably have the No 1 preseason draft pick (if Richmond pass)FA means nothing with LDU.... there's no amount of money we could offer him that North won't match.
Forget about SmithGenuinely curious as to what it would take for us to land Barrass and Smith?

Bailey Smith didn’t nominate a club. I assume because Cats are still playing, but we can stil dream
Some nice FA's next season.
Who wants to be our Frawley?
Fogarty
LDU
Rayner
TDK
Brayshaw
Allen
Waterman
I'd throw 7 figures at any of the above.

Ralph just declared Smith has chosen Geelong.
