I think he'll sign an extension with Sydney before the start of next season. He has ,more family in Victoria than WA including his parents. I cant see him coming to Freo to be honest. I'll happily admit Im wrong if he does.
Nah, far far too much noise for nothing to come of this whether it's this year or next

In your Taylor optimism, what do you think we can get Tigers and Sydney to actually accept if it became a thing
Get gold coast involved.

Swans get pick 6 & 10
Tigers get 9 & 14

Plus whatever else needs to swap around.

There's still what we would be paying, we only have so much available
9, 10, 14 & F1 for bolton and Warner.

Just gets creative with Suns involved as well.

I think Richmond are selling their players, they want something for them - not that they want maximum value for them, if that makes sense.

A similar deal to Neale/Shiel/Treloar(first trade, all under contract) for both is:

#9 & F1 for Player and F2
#10 & #14 for Player and F2

I agree that's fine for Richmond but Swans would seem to be very hard to compensate enough if we are getting Bolton as well

Roffey gone at the Dee’s.

Biggest supporter of Goodwin I believe.

Is that the gal who just did the worst damage control I’ve ever heard on radio the other day?
Correct.

I just dont see how that's enough though it would be nice to walk out of a trade thinking we've paid unders for once
Warner's likely to fetch his peak price for Sydney this year obviously. Especially if he's ardent on a move. Could drive movement, don't see much hope for a bargain though.

Bolton's contract length and seeming willingness to stay if Richmond can't get the deal they want almost guarantees we won't be paying unders for him.

I still think we have to pay more overs for Warner than Bolton this year. The overs we pay for Bolton gets converted into salary paid. Overs for Warner will be for playing the 2025 season at Freo.

And Warner off an AA year and younger is just objectively worth more.

I think that is the issue. I was dreaming of getting Pickett and Kossi this year and it seemed possible if Kossi wanted out. I'm not sure we can do Warner & Bolton this year as Swans will want too much in contract when they are in flag mode. They have history too of holding out, Horse must have some great tricks to get them to change their mind in 12 months.

I also think Kozzie is a much bigger need for us. Would be cheaper contract and picks wise. If it were up to me I’m taking him over Warner

Given the price for contracted good players in trade has been two firsts with a second coming back, usually one around top ten and one around the later part, as you can see in the trades of Neale, Shiel and the Treloar to Pies trade, then that should be the reasonable point we end up at for Shai Bolton and Chad Warner.

I'm willing to drop the second coming back.

For me, the only way is like Drago said and you can somehow con Tigers into taking the Port pick and a future 1st as the main part of the value. Would need some hefty steak knives I imagine because we'd also need later picks coming back. Port going straight sets really helps.

I think there is a world where Swans accept 9 and 10. It would be a take it or leave it we have nothing else to give type thing and Warner would probably need to have a mental breakdown in front of Beatson AND they win the flag AND they get Stringer but that's the 1% RD is talking about I guess haha.
