Hope his ties to the club (through Sis and us sticking with him through injury) see him over the line with us. Could just be a tease, but showed some genuine promise running through the middle; he straightens up his goal kicking and he looks a genuine threat. Plus he's a big body. Got a feeling we'd regret losing him, but he's also the kind of player you lose when you get Bolton/Kosi/Warner being lined up.

20% in the middle, 60% wing or forward flank, 20% bench would be great for us.

Exactly the player to through in the middle in the 3rd, when the other players are getting tired.

If they are pushing Noddy out then our salary cap is fkd. He wouldn't cost much and has so much upside. They better not fk this up.

He's one of those players that has a high ceiling, but a low floor. I'll be honest and say I'd just about put him in the "get rid of" pile before his recall to the team late in the season, but now really want to see him re-signed.

He's such a unique looking player to the eye...rangy, straight running patterns, a bit gangly, but seemingly has a level of confidence in his abilities that not many of our guys share.

There's a chance that once he understands his body more and develops an AFL level of hardness, he could be anything.

I'm dreaming of something akin to an Issac Smith type of player.

Maybe they grouped the two year deals together (Wagner, Banfield, Sturt), and will do the same with one year deals (Reidy, Voss, NOD)?
Voss has re-signed for two years. Think it was the best 22 players (or close) today.

I expect we'll announce Voss and/or NOD at a similar time to players that wouldn't get as many clicks.

Would be pretty annoyed to a lose a guy who bleeds purple and was basically best 22 by seasons end. Knobel, Voss and Noddy are the only ones out of contract I need signed up. I actually wonder if Knobel has some hidden unannounced deal for next year or something. Seems odd that we have neither him or Reidy officially signed and I think Reidy is gone personally

Keeping NOD means we can afford to lose Erasmus. No point Ras waiting it out at Peel for Fyfe's retirement if we have Nod, Serong, Young, Johnson, Brayshaw all vying for mid field. He might crack a half dozen games a year here.

Gettable was adamant that Reidy had signed an extension last month.

I agree but our salary cap is far from stuffed as we're miles under it and thats why we have been liked to a ton f high profile players. I think NOD has already signed and they'll do the announcement after his season ahs finished. Raidy's and Voss already signed a year extension and they didn't announce him today.

We're one injury to a Young/AB/Sebba/Johnson and a Fyfe retirement away from him being B22.

Sort of, they said he was re-signed, then in the article that afternoon it was "discussing a 1 year deal" or something like that. I dont think he makes any sense to keep, I think Knobel passes him over 1 more preseason and has more AFL traits that are useful

I just don’t get why north would go after a cooked and broken darling when this bloke is available.
Like, if he kicked well he could be going at close to 2 goals a game as a 22 year old KPF. I'm happy and all we seem to be keeping him but what is everyone else seeing that we arent

Voss already contracted according to the contract thread. Taylor - I can't find an article. Was Voss's contract extended?

Sign
Voss?
Max Knobel
Nathan O'Driscoll

Who else keeps their spot? Would be a good draft to cut deep.

Ethan Hughes
Tom Emmett
Josh Corbett
Matt Taberner
Odin Jones
Liam Reidy
Sebit Kuek
Conrad Williams
Ethan Stanley

Fair chance everyone in that list is gone.

I suggest to people who think salary cap should not be an issue ... estimate what you think we would be paying Young-Cox-Darcy-Brayshaw-Serong-Jackson (6 biggest), plus Treacy-Amiss-Pearce-Clark-Ryan and anyone else you think is on good coin. Then see how much is left out of the salary cap, which will be $17.76m in 2025, $18.29m in 2026 and $18.44m in 2027.

Let's say we eat up 8 million on the 11 players above (which is pretty easy with 6 x 800k average plus 5 x 550k average). Add Bolton on 800k (Richmond paying the balance) and let's round it to 9 million. It leaves roughly 300k on average for everyone else. You can get there with a mix of 150-500k types of contracts, maybe you can squeeze in a 600k Baker (I have my doubts), but it is tough. If you try throwing in 900k for Pickett or 1.2 million for Warner, it's getting close to impossible unless we have a good system for payments off the books (which I hope we do) or move on a Darcy/Cox type of contract.

Sure, we can eventually remove the contracts of O'Meara, Fyfe, Walters, Aish, etc. That's fine, but that would largely be factored in already and the maths remains the same with ~300k per player after the top end are paid. Look over most of the good clubs and they'd be sitting on around 7 players on "high" salaries. We've got 6 already on our list with Bolton to come. Pushing it to 8 or 9 with Pickett/Warner? If we can pull that off I'd be impressed.
Do this for Carltank. I'm sure we'll see some larger figures on display.

It hurts as a Stanley truther but literally all those names should go, well, at least, I agree with Chris25 very well made points that we should take at least 5 picks in this draft if we can.

Stanley came from Box Hill. I could see Hawthorn taking a punt on him.
