Poor Sam, he finally has a game where he plays comparatively well to Bayley Fritsch only to hear "... But he's no Shai Bolton!"

Word is that North are looking to buy some ready to go bodies in the middle during this offseason. They have a lot of talent for ball users but if the rumours around LDU are true they might have nobody to win the first hands on the ball.

I wouldn't expect pick one to be on the table, even though they will say it is as always, but if they are excited to poach any of our contracted surplus mids, or half forwards who are contracted but seeking more midfield time then our block of later first round picks could facilitate an exchange.

And that would go a long way to buying the likes of Chad Warner.

Brodie for pick 1 confirmed.

Personally thinking the scheme team within the dockers is hard at work when it comes to bolton “raid”.

Freo leak wanting Bolton, including handing over up to three of those very tasty first round draft picks, which will allow richmond to rebuild.

simultaneously leak warner wanting to come home, meeting with him at the crown etc.

sydney then need to choose whether to get lotsa first round picks from the dockers for warner pre-agency or potentially get a whole lot less for him at end of next season…

All the while getting stressed by salary cap issues trying to re-sign gulden, heeney, mcdonald, warner and … someone else too (brain gone fuzzy from too much scheming!);)

Dockers have a plan, a cunning plan!

🤣😉

That's where I think the rumour about Bolton came from.
Chat overheard on Lygon street between Walls & van der Wielen.

"So Anthony, how's Bolton going?" (Freo have asked about Bolton)
"Yeah, pretty good Walls, yeah, but he doesn't like losing though" (Bolton is considering a move)

McGuire: Freo have asked about Bolton, and Bolton is open to a move.

I'm quite surprised at how open many fans on the Richmond board are to the idea of trading Bolton. I would have assumed it was a straight up piss off Freo, and we'd all be able to get on with our day. Between Bolton and the Warner chat, at least we know the club isn't completely oblivious to our deficiencies

Also it seems statistcally unlikely that we don't lose a B22 player. If there's any truth to the rumour that Switta was looking to head back, how would his value compare to Baker?

I was pointing out her hatred of Norf. Whenever I do tune into FC she’s always tearing into Norf. We get it, they’re not going well. Stop flogging the dead horse and talk about how badly the eagles are going 😂
North was part of it but she despises Clarkson (as many women do).

I think if we offered all 3 first rounders for Warner this off season when he's contracted Sydney would still knock us back.
What will they get for him when out of contract next season if he wants to move? Cant walk him to the draft. So… High first rounder or SSP selection as per Sharp…

If (big if) he wants to leave in 2025, we have enough draft capital to get the deal done (3 firsts and a high second is a damn fine hand!)

And get baker or curtin too if include our F1too

Sydney aren't delisting him so he won't be an ssp

There was no conclusion I agree with what you say, but it still doesn’t stop me worrying until he actually re-signs. His misses is from Vic and it’s been reported clubs (particularly StK) are going for him.
Sumuch told me behind Spudshed that the Dockers will trade Brayshaw to St Kilda, combine all of their picks to trade in Bolton and Warner.

I love how unemployed and/or lazy you are. To have the time to come up with this is spectacular. Haha.

I worked hard enough in my twenties to enjoy not having to work much at all now, except for all of you of course.

Juuuuust about due for another baby too, so I'll get onto that.

Us losing best 22 players had nothing to do with statistics. Statistically is quite likely pretty much every team trades out at least one player each off season.

If Switta was the one to go and Baker came in, I think we end up seeing Switta's best games every week. Switta at his best isn't much worse than Baker - on their typical performance though Baker is in a different conversation.

Taylor, if we got #1 would you rather trade or for Warner or draft Smille who’s a big 194cm petracca like midfielder?

I would rather have Chad Warner for the next three years while we are peaking than a teenager who has yet to prove anything.

I think we are a better side, closer to a flag, with Chad Warner in the side.

Even players like Dustin Martin, Nathan Fyfe, Christian Petracca took a while to build into the players they are/were at their peak.

I just think Chad Warner solves so many problems for us at once.

Let's just pretend that a Vic Metro kid that Freo takes at #1 isn't a risk to leave in three years too, and it doesn't matter if he is or isn't when it's a direct comparison to Chad Warner back home playing on a very long term contract.

If we did get Warner I hope he gets to play his same style he plays at Sydney and JL doesn’t put a leash on him and we don’t get to see his burst and flair
