Soph, If you're not going to actual GF I'd highly recommend getting there on the Friday rather than the Saturday if you can?Hey Guys
Been awhile between drinks
Unfortunately I won’t be attending the GF but am looking to venturing up to the city on Saturday with my husband and son Archer and looking at child friendly options. I would love to be apart of it as much as I can (also getting out of Geelong haha) but need a venue or place to watch that’s is good with an almost 5 year old.
any ideas?
Or any other thread across the boards that have ideas for families?
Yes I think this might be the way we goSoph, If you're not going to actual GF I'd highly recommend getting there on the Friday rather than the Saturday if you can?
Watch the parade and head over to the AFL precinct for the team songs and speeches...there's so much kid friendly stuff there and things to do, with red & white faithful everywhere!
It's really well setup as a family event & I can't wait to take the kids there this year.
Beer deluxe wasn't the same .
Happy to travel down to the Riser. What time does the parade finish? I'll be heading to the girls match in Footscray that night so need something to fill the time.Beer deluxe wasn't the same .
Happy to book a table at the Rising Sun at about 1pm, thoughts and would be good to know how many by say Monday night.
Swans only pub
Swans are doing a live site at the SCGWon't be in Melbourne but looking for a recommendation to watch it on the big screen somewhere - maybe the SCG watch party would do.

All welcomeParade finishes at about 12:30 this year
1pm works great
Count me in mate. Might quickly swing by the markets to the Swans hub prior to heading to the pub but will definitely be there barring severe illness or injury.About 1pm i think
Yup, I will need a big screen somewhere to watch in Sydney if I don't make it to Melbourne... SCG by far the best choice I'm guessing?Won't be in Melbourne but looking for a recommendation to watch it on the big screen somewhere - maybe the SCG watch party would do.

Yep. We get in at 10am. Will do the Parade & then might try to get down for a beer if I can swing it with Mrs.GTG...Count me in mate. Might quickly swing by the markets to the Swans hub prior to heading to the pub but will definitely be there barring severe illness or injury.
