Just letting you know ur interviewing a boy called Luke Kennedy this afternoon. Plays for Sandy as a hard running midfielder. Expected to go in the later stage of the draft, kicks both feet and excellent defensively.

Hoping you don't take him because I hate your mob but thought I'd let you know
He’ll go well with The GOAT Nicky D 😉

From Ormond ? Dekka’s club ?

If there’s ever a draft to have a bunch of picks in the 40’s or 50’s this is probably the one!
Absolutely. Given the depth.
Hopefully we can get a tall with one of them looking at dekka lol

Thought I’d chuck up some possible prospects for our very late picks. I like the idea put up of Luke Kennedy as well.

Tom Simms - underrated mobile key forward with good leading patterns, who I’m just hoping slides far enough to be an option. He’d be my third rated KPF behind Armstrong and Shanahan. Plays a bit like Tom Lynch IMO. Also tested amazingly well at the combine.

Zane Cochrane - Really underrated workman like tallish midfielder with neat skills. Not a dominant accumulator but still finds enough as a midfielder. Really balanced game and would suit us well. Also played with us in the VFL.

Luke Urquhart - Clearance beast, who busts through stoppages and stays in the play, but has really sloppy kicking.

Jonty Faull - Huge somewhat lumbering old school key forward, who could fall down the board for that reason. Can also pinch hit in the ruck.

And lastly Zak Johnson - Skilful defender mid, who really could play anywhere on the ground. His kicks are elite, finds plenty of the ball, and also has nice evasiveness and ability to work through traffic. He would be a fantastic option.

And lastly, lastly… Gabriel Stumpf - An interesting one. Big key position forward who kicked the most goals for the Knights. He’d be awesome as that roaming high CHF he works up the ground. Also has the attributes to play as a key defender. His combine results would have surprised many winning both the vertical standing jump and the 20m sprint. Wouldn’t mind us taking a punt given our desperation for young developing key position players.

There’s also still a chance we list academy prospects Luke Quaynor and Doug Kerr as late picks or more likely rookies. Both of whom would be good options.

Absolutely. If it’s as even and deep as everyone keeps saying then could still be some good options in the 40s once the picks come in.

I also wouldn’t be opposed to doing a live draft night trade sending one of these picks out (for a future 3rd - McGuane points) if a couple of our targets are still expected to be on the board at the back end.

Thirds don't become as useful for points next year - unless it's a bottom team - you'd be looking at a F3 upgraded to F2 instead. Both F2's and F3's will become more valuable next year, with earlier picks getting used for matching.

Where's that Mras kid who trained with us last year and has been injured this year expected to go?
Mraz could slide he has been injured for a lot of this year.

Another one I like is Bailey McKenzie he is a great mark and plays like Nate Caddy

Sims is the one. If we don’t get him my disappointment will be immeasurable and my draft night ruined.
And would be around where our first pick falls in the 40s come draft night
Faull I think may go before our pick
