This absolutely kills me, but I’m with Carl here. I’m not in any way invested in the draft so I’m not here to rate or not any player. That said if a taller Walker clone were available he’d go top 5. Tex himself probably goes top 10 back in the day if he were in the open draft and to think we could land a player of that quality at our pick is fanciful, IMO.

It’s simply a player style comparison. Not a literal prediction that he will get to that level.

No different to Lachie Jaques playing like Mills/Vlastuin or plenty of others I’ve made over the years.

As for Carl, for a self reclaimed draft guru he doesn’t have an original thought in his head draft or prospect wise. Purely and simply a troll.

Being a Sandgroper, I've been lucky to watch him in a few games for West Perth. He's a very mobile player and quite agile.

He might be a bit undersized to make it as a sole number 1 ruck. But his follow-up work and contested marking means he can play more as a forward-ruck.

He’ll end up playing as a key forward who pinch hits in the ruck IMO. No club is picking him to play primary ruck. He has all the traits to be dominant there too.

Is there any Mature Age KPP Prospects that we might Take in Draft that could play Season 1 at AFL Level?
I doubt that.
You wouldn't use the ND for that. Especially this draft.
We want some young KPP
Whose to say who we draft can't play in 2025, you just dont know how quickly some can develop.

And then he buggered off.

IF we go Tall as been Sad that could be Possible with lack of Depth of Talls we have

Dylan Alexander picking for the pies chose Sims (crazy he was avail in this mock draft), Sam Toner and jhett haeata
Surely we wouldn't let Charlie West get to pick 75.. or Luke Kennedy at pick 72

One thing to bear in mind is on draft night our picks will slide in quite a bit thanks to bid matching. Brisbane, Gold Coast and Essendon are turn about a dozen picks into 4 on the first night. So we’re possibly going start night two with our picks in the 40s and 50s rather than the 50s and 60s. And there’s likely to be some bid matching early on night two that may bring them in further.

Also correct me if I’m wrong but unless we are now re-drafting only one of Markov or Johnson we only have list space for 3 players to be drafted in the ND don’t we?

Thats right
3 players in ND and redraft Markov and Johnson in rookie draft, which then makes our Cat A rookie list and senior list full

It's only his Opinion

No one outside of the Club would know our Plans

That makes it likely that that trade with Brisbane was done with the intention of trying to bundle up a couple of picks to move up the order.

I’d suggest you tone the language down then. Walker is the best KPF Adelaide has ever had meaning he’s one of one in terms of what he offers so as a nuffie when I read that there’s a kid potentially available at our selections that’s a taller clone of him my immediate reaction is that’s bullshit.

Fly was spotted at the Willi v Tigers VFL WC match and the theory at the time was that he was taking a look at a prospect. The main candidate was Sam Davidson and whilst he’s more AJ/ Membrey than the tradition KPP I wouldn’t be surprised if we went with him over the more fancied types on this board.

He's more whe - can run and could play anywhere. He'd suit us and I think we'd like him.

All the hype is about talls but here's our oldies likely to be gone in the next few years, it covers most roles:

Ruck forward - Cox
Kpd/interceptor - Howe
CHF - Mihocek
2 Inside mids - Titch, Pendles
Medium forward - Elliott
2 Outside/inside runner - Sidey, Crisp
Swiss army knife - WHE

I'd go best available, but even if drafting for needs, it's still basically best available.
