AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
I think it goes at a faster pace because all the remaining rounds are compressed into the 1 night. Is the second round/second night also broadcast (like the first round)?
My recollection is that it moves at a faster pace, because the players and their families aren’t there.
Those last line of defence marks were legendary. Such a sad story. He was one of my faves.Ernie Hug now that’s a blast from the past. Hope he’s a better kick than his Grandfather but boy oh boy was he a terrific mark. Great player Ernie.
Trigger warning: a bit sad:

Billy Morrison Mk. 2
I love it, get him in! As much as these super fit, robot-esque, elite, top tier draftees are selected for a reason - there's nothing quite like the raw/talented, but "less than conditioned" shall we say, prospect that we can all enjoy the gamble on and dream of him kicking on and becoming a star!

We could always go to sydney, geelong or the giants and offer to swap our future third for their future third and get a late third rounder from them this year.
They have a good chance of finishing above us, it could be worth the gamble.
Arming ourselves with 5 picks, we could use three of them to really push up the draft and use the rest two as normal.
Giants have 56,cats have 57 and the swans have 59.
If we could nab one of those,
52,55,one of the above picks, can be traded to move up.
Use 60 and 66 as normal.
We can always address next years needs with 2026 and 2027 picks.Wouldn't we want to keep our picks for next year for FS and academy matching?
Not really. Said our picks won’t move up much after bid matching and said we will struggle to find anyone willing to let us trade up the orderIf anyone has listened to Gettable over the past two days, did they say anything about the pies?

We need a replacement for Johny fn Noble
The Ashcroft pick/watch is interesting.Thursday for Sure but just keep an eye on it on Wednesday
Ideally one where pick 42/43 don't get used up.The Ashcroft pick/watch is interesting.
Twomey seems to think he'll go 5th.
I'm kinda hoping it's higher than that.
If we're doing some sort of deal with Brisbane, the lower the better, because they'll have more picks left over after matching. The Ashcroft pick/watch is interesting.

If they're trading them for more points, it'll be before rather than after an Ashcroft bid.Ideally one where pick 42/43 don't get used up.
It depends on the prevailing windsDoes the trade window open just before the draft or earlier ?
