Charlie West fits the type of key forward I prefer. Powerful and competitive over super skilful and talented. The fact he's also got pace is a big bonus over the likes of Mihocek and McStay.

How's it a **** up. Probably cost us nothing unless we wanted one of the two blokes taken before us rather than Hayes and had the potential to be useful. Ashcroft no bid until 5 probably meant we didn't get to trade up or out as Lions took those opportunities with picks that would have been swallowed with an early bid.

Looks like we start with non negotiables the main being running ability (can't play our game plan without it). Then we look at the secondary attributes. With later picks this is even more stark as they're less likely to have standout traits that override the non negotiables.

Were always looking at the bottom of the KPP pike after that run early in the second round, but at least we still took a swing at filling that area of need.

Only thing that matters now is how they develop over the next few years, fingers crossed at least one of them sticks despite the odds against that happening.

None of the R4 picks next year are worth any points.

We only have two spots left on the list, and we've committed to taking them to the Rookie Draft for Markov and Johnson.

Would have liked to have been on the blower with AJ or Oleg to see if they were open to an early retirement to bring in Davis and another.

No points attached to 4th rounders. Might come back in to points if enough bids are made before Tommy, but not going to be worth anything of significance either way.
