Not sure if this **** stick posts on BF, but if you want a giggle over lunch have a look at some of the absolute tripe he puts out there under the guise of “working in the industry….

If he worked in the industry and exposed that many 'secrets' he wouldn't last more than a month. Waaaaaaaanker.

It's not a superdraft.

It's a deep and evenly talented draft.

There is a very big difference.

When you compare it to previous drafts there isn't a tall with the talent of JUH or Darcy and there isn't a generational midfield type like Daicos/Ashcroft/JHF/Reid or Sheezel.
Even though there is no Harley Reid , it is full of elite mids. It is a super draft

They have to tell themselves that because they’ve traded away their senior core for these picks.

Nah its not really. I asked a couple of the "draft experts" if Colby Mckercher was in this draft, their thoughts would be he is a clear number 1. Mentioned Dursma and Watson from last year would contend for number 1.

If that's is the case its a weak draft at the top end. We arent even talking JHF/JUH/NDaicos/H Reid level talent would be at the top. Colby is a good talent but not a generational number 1 lol.

You're getting swept away in the hype, lad.

It isn't. It's full of very good B+ midfielders.

You stated earlier that the top 25 would be in the top 8 next year.

So that's Jesse Dattoli, Cooper Hynes and Harry Oliver as top 8 picks next year.... rofl.

I would not take a single one of Lalor, FOS, Smith, Langford, Draper or Smillie ahead of Reid, McKercher. Sanders is easily in the Lalor/Smith/FOS conversation and he went at Pick 6.

Sheezel and Wardlaw are better than all of these midfielders in just about every single department. It's not even worth discussing it.

JHF, Daicos, Callaghan? Forget it.

Watch what the Allies midfield (McKercher, Sanders, Rogers) did last year to the VIC Metro midfield (which is a batch of this years top mids) + Windsor

The one player who rose to the better standard through the midfield last year? FOS.

Every draft in history has elite mids at the top end. The outlier at the moment is 2020 but the players development in that year was impacted by covid shutdowns and all that shit.

I know for a fact that many clubs (including yours) do not consider this draft a 'super draft'. The big thing going in it's favour is the fact that there are plenty of genuine talls in the open draft pool.

Clubs are happy with the depth, and believe there will be plenty of role players available beyond pick 25, but the vast majority believe it's lacking that absolute top tier of talent that have been available in previous years.

Put it this way. I was told directly from a club scout (and many others share the same opinion) that if Ryley Sanders (Pick 6 2023) was in this draft class he'd go number 1. Shows you that last years top tier was believed to have a higher ceiling when compared to this years.

This can't be stated often or loudly enough.

It is a deep superdraft by most experts opinion.
There is 7 elite mids then a heap of quality players even if the talls are thin this year.
😂 every top mid has significant deficiencies. FFS, FOS is considered a top 2/3 pick and he barely played all year. Ya kidding yaself.

All draft experts are holding their picks because having 5 or 4 darts at this board might nab you 1 maybe 2 players.

Its ordinary. Very ordinary draft.

The best talent is Jagga and you campaigners are inlove with Lalor because you think he’ll be Dusty. That campaigner wont come close to Dustin.

What ever it takes to make you feel good about it.
Feel great - you take the wins when you get them.

But this draft looks like most without a standout number pick - which bad luck for the Tigers.

There are 4 really good options available - Lalor, FOS, Draper and Smith - then a bunch of good talent with bigger questions marks they the Tier 1 players. The further you drop from the big 4 the greater the chance of a bust.

The one thing is Bombers likely move 28 or 31 for future picks.
Good point.

Incidentally, maybe we trade our F2 + F3 to Essendon with the purpose of landing Trainor and Sims?

FOS, Trainor, Sims and Stevens would be well-rounded draft from a list needs perspective.

Have asked this a few times actually, somewhere around 55 has been the answer.
Eddie Ford type of areas that, never discount the value of a late pick. I think he was 54 though.
I've just viewed the saints board and crikey they are indeed blowing up.

Why wouldnt they offer up 7 and 8 for our 2?

I’d do it, they get a grade mid they want/need and we *should get the viking and the best kpf (in our eyes)

List balance for both teams

Thats about the only trade id do for 2

Thoughts?
The saints are a strange unit in general, they weren’t expecting the Battle compo, so it should almost be seen or used as a free hit in my opinion. What I mean by that, is packing 7 + 8 up to a club like us, so they can get the blue chip midfielder they are desperately crying out for.

I just really, really hope we keep pick 2.

They are media, they’ll talk it up. Its mediocre. Take this from someone who has been at the bottom of the ladder for almost a decade and taken a keen interest in every draft. This is arguably the most underwhelming draft ive seen. We wont know until 2029 but absolute garbage.

SEN cant come out and shit on it? 😂

Wrong year to have 25% of the top 25 picks. Pick every kid and I can almost guarantee 2 will be there for your next tilt

Hi guys, are you interested in trading a future first for our pick 18 if there is a player you want?
In dating parlance.....

You've had your chance & rejected us. Laughed in our faces went back & told the other group of girls you are with about our advances to have a group giggle.

We have moved on. We have other's in sight & are prepared to go home single than accept your shite advances now.

In fairness to Big Cam , we are still in talks with Crows to slide back, apparently......lots would still be being discussed.

Tigers have always thought they've held all the sway in North moving....cant blame them with the circle suck from the media(Richmond Numpties) talking the up the whole time and doing their bidding for them.

I prefer our way.....say not much and see what happens
