They should also see that 8 is a free hit they were lucky to get that for battle

How similar as a player and athletically is FOS to Kieren Harper?

I remember Harper was super athletic in testing for sprints and vert leap etc. Could do the mercurial, but just couldn’t find the footy at AFL level…and ultimately that was his downfall.

Edit: Just realised Harps was 187cm too, wow didn’t know he was that tall.

Saints not getting any of the big six mids despite their supporters desperate hope someone would reach for a KPP.

I’d love that, but I’d be surprised if the Saints entertain it. We could finish 5th last, and they’ve wasted a year of development to gain 3 spots? Seems a bit crazy.

Feels like pick 2 is their best chance, but they’d have to give up 7+8. Stalemate.

I think we just take FOS and then try for another KPF around Rich 10/11

Last night I was up at 4 am thinking how beneficial this trade would be to our beloved club. I was tickling with excitement.
Richmond should be fearful of having a rebuild like us with a lack of mature players, thus by trading pick 10 they can stop this.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Thurstfields interview was a ploy to signal to other clubs to pay up if you want pick 2. There seems to be this narrative that we’re desperate to trade back. We aren’t going to trade back unless the deal is right for us. It’s a win win scenario.

Both things can be true. We can really like Lalor and FOS but if another club likes them just as much they need to pay for the privilege to draft them.

Fos will play half back/wing .. wont be immediate in mid rotations

As well, we currently have no inside mids in the VFL. FOS will play in other positions around the ground in the s but no hurt in developing his inside game in the VFL until he’s cherry ripe.

I actually think FOS will have a better first year at half back than sheez and Kerch. He will tackle, spoil, harass and not give up easy goals.
