We started with one first round pick and we still have one first round pick.
But, we don't have F1 (for next year)

We didn't get #3 by accident, it was a trade - simply two first rounds for a higher pick

No, one this year, one next year
I gave up!

How can you argue with that type of logic :drunk:

We started the trade period with a first and second and a future first and second. We ended the trade period with a first and second and a future second. All for the price of Matt Owies and Matt Kennedy. We made out like bandits.
I've never said it was a bad trade, just simply we've traded two first round picks to get the upgrade to #3 - simples!

The Prendercast guys I think mentioned this that, because at one stage we had picks 12 and 14 , the narrative was that we acquired and then traded two two first rounders. We didn't - we already had pick 12.

We took our 2024 Pick #12,and with some wheeling and dealing, traded it up to 2024 Pick#3

This is also accurate but it is not that same thing as saying pick three cost us two first round picks, owies and Kennedy.

Either way today business

Jagga Smith is incredibly impressive in this interview. Oozes genuine confidence, intelligence, humility, poise, and leadership. If he slips through to our pick he would be very difficult to pass on IMO. As much as I love Draper, Jagga could really be something special. He screams 300+ games, multiple AA, future captain etc.

I especially liked the part where Riley Beveridge presented him with a t-shirt

Agree with you, very impressed with Jagga, reminded me of Sam Walsh interviews in his draft year, professional, , mature, determined, composed yet approachable and very humble, able to deflect the massive attention to his obvious talent.
I was beginning to sway towards Sid should Finn be gone by our pick, however any of these lads would be a unique talent and great addition to our team.

What I liked most about the Jagga interview is that he got feedback from his coach after the 50m gained game (from 40 disposals) that it was an area for improvement. He took on the coaching with a new strategy and was able to implement it immediately to increase his impact thereafter.

That coachability is another reason I really like him. I wouldn’t permanently label him a low impact player, he’ll get better with good coaching.

Without any prior knowledge low impact was my takeaway, albeit with nice hands and evasion.

Would be good if he went 1 or 2.

Rookie Me have released their final top 50 power rankings before the draft.

Nice to see Ben ranked at 47 and a bevy of talls likely to be available around our second pick in O’Farrell, Gerreyn, Nicholls and Barrat.

Looks like we’ll get what we aimed for at the start of the trade period.
