still have my eye on Taj Hotton, goal kicking, high possession HFF.

coming off the ACL is a risk but i'd guess the biggest knock for our needs is i don't think he's particularly fast
Coming off an ACL?

Not particularly fast?

Sounds like a Carlton player already.

Forgetting those highlights, he does have great footy IQ, slippery, agile, but wouldn't call him quick
Wouldn't call him quick either. Think he's probably similar to Walsh in that regard, not a plodder by any means but certainly no Patrick Dangerfield in open space.

Still think the ACL is a concern for a player who relies on his evasiveness as much as he does.

Thanks for providing those.

As I mentioned above, doesn't have the top speed of a Dangerfield or Cyril Rioli etc but he has a great first few steps and fantastic agility.

A very good talent regardless, only question is how he comes back from that knee.

Hotton 2.88sec which is a decent time.

As an aside, our 202cm ruckman Hudson O'Keefe recorded 2.96sec in his draft year :thumbsu::cool:

Elijah hollands did a acl in his draft year and he's pretty evasive still

Ollie hannaford i think, kicking boots on in the last few games, maybe worth a rookie spot small fwd

Your thoughts on Ollie Hannaford ? moving up the draft boards with a bullet.

Hannaford, have seen very little forward, a little behind the ball where very effective. Now moved forward and hitting the scoreboard. Figures prominently on agility figures published above. Well built “six-footer” shapes as a very good pick up and multi dimensional.

When looking at “budget” small forward options do not dismiss SA lad Jacob Newton. Slightly quicker and better skilled, left footed version of Fog who can play mid or forward. Sub 180cm (just) so likely forward at higher level. Not much press so probably a rookie at this stage.

This draft has plenty of “layers”, expect heaps of value picks to emerge.

Haven't seen any of his games up forward outside of a highlights package where he looked pretty great, behind the ball he was decent without being a standout.

Don't think he'll fall into our draft pick range though and if we did have a pick around there I'd still be quite keen on Zak Johnson who I think is highly underrated
