We had no idea about Jordan Boyd or Cooper Lord. Not a skerrick of a whisper about either of them prior to their drafts so we will just have to wait and see.

So you’re saying there’s a chance Austin will call my name out at pick 3?

I’ll clear my calendar.

I followed the draft very closely and had no incling that we were linked to Wilson.

I followed it pretty closely too. He was linked several times. There was some talk on this board about it because nobody thought he should go that high and were hoping the link was for a later pick.

Was by no means definitive though so would have been easy to miss and we were linked with a couple of others too. Mainly running half back types. Roberts, Lual, Carroll (who we rookied) and Edwards are the names I recall.

Binns link was stronger. He was no surprise at all by the time draft night came.

Could always trade back for 6 and 11 I believe. Get Smillie and a KPD or an outside runner.
I’ll be staggered if we trade back.

The rumour is that Richmond are reluctant to do 6 and 11 for 2 AND f1 from north (seems like they want 2 without giving 6), they’d laugh us out of the room if we offered that

By most people’s reckoning we got a pretty great deal to get 3, we’re not getting the same value to give it back up

JMO on Langford but he looks an ABSOLUTE M.Kennedy clone. Moves just like him, lumbers and arches the back almost like a twin would. VERY similar kicking style. Identical pace. Langford does have a better kick ill give him that in terms of hitting targets, he seems elite by foot but exactly the player we arent after. Id put money on it we don't select him. Just my opinion.
Anyone that hasn't already, go and watch Langfords highlights with all this in mind and tell me you cant see any BamBam in him.

Not in the same class type at all as FOS, Draper, Smith and Lalor IMO

wtf, that would be outrageous overs from North…pick 2 and probably another top 5 pick next year for 6 and 11, can’t be right. I think someone is making shit up

Full season highlights (with a few bonus bits from season 2023) for the mystery man Finn O'Sullivan. Might be the most talented of the 2024 crop but injuries prevented him from showing his full potential. If he slides on draft night he could make some recruitment teams look foolish in a year or two.

Great video!
First one where I can finally believe the hype for FOS.
Looks like an exceptional talent

Lalor and a happy dance

I'm going to take Lalor out of equation, as he is going be #1.

Our choice is likely to be between FOS, Smith and Draper

IMO - Smith is definitely the best choice for CFC.
His evasiveness is pretty good and gives him plenty of time to execute his disposals - which is quite clean.
He just knows how to be involved in the game

With Draper - there are new injury risks and his disposals are not clean. Sure it can improve, but by how much?
With FOS - he's just not involved enough, fades in & out of games. So, is it all down to injury affected or something else?

Lock in Smith - thanks Austin & Co :D
that's just make believe....
