Who should Carlton take at Pick 3 if available?

Interesting that Agresta said we’re taking 3 picks to the rookie draft. My assumption was that we’d use 1 and pass to keep the other 2 spots free for SSP. Maybe we’d be willing to select 3 in the rookie draft if our preferred players are available.
I didn't hear Agresta, but marcmurphy3's post specifically said " 3 spots available in the rookie draft. Didn't suggest we'll use them all".

Didn’t get that at all from what Agresta said, the live trade he was talking about he said the club was prepared for every scenario. When asked about Jagga and Draper he talked more about Jagga, he didn’t say Draper is the one to replace Crippa.

Later on when Riley asked Cal which clubs he was was keeping an eye on for the live trading, he said the Giants and Bombers. There was no mention of the Kangas trading pick 2
Mick was playing with a very straight bat, as all recruiters are right now. He didn't indicate any preference of one over the other, although the club would definitely have.

The biggest takeaways/facts I got from the interview was that firstly, we're gonna have 4 selections in the ND. And secondly, we have a number of contingencies in place with a Campo bid before #38.

Which means we'll likely trade out and trade back in with someone like Sydney if the bid comes - or that we'll possibly match with pick 38 (depending on where the bid lands) and have players in mind late in the draft.

Most overrated draft in history.
This is an excellent draft but I am not sure about superdraft. Where it is strong is its depth rather than very top end. The top 5 (disregarding Ashcroft given he will be at Brisbane) all have excellent traits but some reservations on them all as well. Not sure there are any "generational types" but at the back half of the first round through to the end of the second round or a little later the quality is better at that level than any draft I can think of off the top of my head (always possible I am overlooking one).

Once again, Ian hits nail on head.

Imo, some are starting to think the Top 5 aren't elite because for a month now posters, and people around the Club no doubt, have been picking each one apart, in favour of their other favoured ones, and in absolute fear of the next SPS or Dow.

Of course that doesn't exclude some who would genuinely have a different opinion though.

I like agresta

Edited for accuracy and sheer terror.

100%. You'd struggle to find top picks any year that don't have any question marks on them at all.

SPS, Dow, LOB etc have shown they can football. Maybe not 1st round worthy, but those 3 with some confidence and better coaching in their draft years would be handy depth (Dow saved our arse last season during our run with some fine work).

Not sure about "saved our arse". He had a couple where he had some impact.

He was out the door straight away when the A team became available.
