I don't think taking any of the top 5 prospects should worry anyone in this draft.Part of me worries that the Jagga stuff is a red herring to start a chain reaction that ends with FOS at Carlton.
Did more than Cripps (ignoring his extra 1-2 possesion), and probably our 2nd best player behind Doc that game.If 22 touches and a goal is monumental they should be carving Crippas head onto mount Rushmore as we speak
He had some good performances at the backend of last year. That was it. Wasn’t like he was putting up Cripps or Walsh numbers and impactStKilda game was monumental for one.
Exactly he had good performances for what I consider a depth player as I alluded to (he may not have been worthy as a 1st rounder, but he'll play 100+ AFL games when his career is done). His VFL form warranted him to be utilised much sooner, but Voss was being Voss and stubborn and Dow only got selected when there was no choice and performed admirably as a depth player. Considering club was intent on ditching him the previous season and didn't give him a fair go when form warranted he showed good character fronting up in the VFL performing till he got an opportunity. He had some good performances at the backend of last year. You said he “saved our arse” last season. That’s just factually wrong. All he did was play well a few times when the team was playing well and were winning. Being a useful cog (1 of 22/23) players during a period of massive injuries and taking some pressure off Cripps and Hewett who were sore (I'm sure they appreciated it), and without him considering a lot of our games were nailbiters that he played in that streak may not have been as long. You said he “saved our arse” last season. Not sure about "saved our arse". He had a couple where he had some impact.
He was out the door straight away when the A team became available.
Well the coaches votes for that stkilda game were;Did more than Cripps (ignoring his extra 1-2 possesion), and probably our 2nd best player behind Doc that game.
I've been firmly on the FOS train. But given all indications he is off the board at 3, I have been re-watching all Jagga related content and it's hard not to be super impressed with this kid. We kinda could not lose, but if it is Jagga, I'll be very happyLate mail is out:

I guess I'll agree to disagree. I'm sorry Paddy isn't your cup of tea, but if you watch the StKilda, Melbourne, GC, GWS games he was more than serviceable (again in the Saints and Melbourne game in particular) and played his role. Also he was used as sub/subbed for a few of the 10 games he did play and when on the ground again did well.Well the coaches votes for that stkilda game were;
7 Blake Acres
6 Zac Fisher
5 Patrick Cripps
5 Nic Newman
3 Jacob Weitering
2 Tom De Koning
1 Callum Wilkie
1 Mason Wood.
It would appear that neither coach (including from the team that was about to recruit him) thought that his game was monumental.
I wonder how Draper interviewed? In particular his preference to play for Adelaide and remain in Adelaide (although like all good tow the line draft prospect he's playing the I'll be happy going anywhere card), may be viewed as a drop him a peg down in thinking.Looks like we’re a 99% chance of taking Smith. Would’ve preferred to go with Draper, assuming FOS is off the board.

DowPretty cool by the Tigers to have Dusty present the jumper to Lalor tomorrow night!
Any word or rumours to who is presenting our jumper??
Gotta be Crippa, although, if it's Jagga, the height difference might change that.Pretty cool by the Tigers to have Dusty present the jumper to Lalor tomorrow night!

Don’t think Crippa is currently in Melbs atm but that would be coolGotta be Crippa, although, if it's Jagga, the height difference might change that.

It's okay to give kudos to him when he deserved it.
