Yep, would love to see this happen.
Out of all the top prospects Lalor is the one for me that I think could be a miss.
Something just doesn’t sit right with him for me, I just think he looks fantastic doing average things (doing them very well - but avg none the less eg absolutely perfect form taking a lead up grab - looks great but it’s a lead up grab).
It seems backwards but I can see him being a good player - FOS, Jagga, Langford, Draper (if he stays fit) just seem to have a little something extra to them.
It’s also very likely, I’m very much mistaken, but it’s my gut feel

I’m the opposite. A few things going in his favour imo,
He has missed a lot of football/development, his trajectory is heading up and he has a late birthdate.
Obviously he, like anyone could be a bust but everything is heading in the right direction hence why he has flown up the draft boards.
If he was 7 weeks younger we would be frothing over him for next season.

Excuse the intrusion.
Round 1 will be a nightmare for Richmond regardless. Our midfield as you’ve said is garbage, however, Richmond is not concerned about 2025. The club knows the condition our list is in and is drafting for 4 years down the track. If you draft Jagga he will in the short term with a good midfield around him, appear to be the gun selection but longer term I’m not sure. He’s a gun little player and I think should have gone pick 1.
He’s less of a risk than Lalor, FOS etc.
I’m hopping you take Draper and Jagga falls but I doubt it. If you draft him I have no doubt you’ve got a good player. You can never be sure they’ll be stars but he shows great promise and determination.

The phantoms were posted, each pick with great care,
In hopes to predict which one will go where;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of Juddy danced in their heads;

But the bluebagger hovercraft - Micky Voss in the rear,

He rapidly flipped through the stats and each game,

Or Smillie! or Harvey! Which one for a 'Bagger?
Then on to the next pick, let's find a great tall!
Then the twin Campos, and that will be all!"
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head

I know it’s been said many times, but it was great work getting up to pick 3.
I had a quick Look at the Saints board and many are understandably lamenting the fact that they are sitting just outside the bracket for the top mids, when they need a quality mid so badly.

I don’t buy into the fast fad if your agile and quick thinker you will find space to give and get.
So many so called fast players run them selves into trouble or confuse there teammates as there unpredictable then just bomb it long.Jagga has bit of diesel he sees the game unfold and tries to set a play beyond what is immediate.
Draper is great but he will turn it over and that hurts.
Draper isn’t playing midfield day one so half back where we are stacked.
Jagga plays forward and impacts day one.
I see this as a more positive push for a flag in a three year time frame.
Plus I think Jagga is better smarter player not as fast but fast and agile enough add footy brain and he tops Draper.
Draper has great qualities running through the line at speed breaking zones etc.
When I say better I think he pips him enough it’s not dramatic but he’s my choice from limited highlights as layman who loves footy but has a gut feel rooted in my limited knowledge

If it plays out like that - and of course it's a big if - Richmond would be handing us what I'm asking for.
Had weight issues coming into the league, turned into worse knee issues as a result. You can see clearly in the tape from recent WAFL games that nothing has changed there.
He's just not in the right shape to do much of anything at AFL level.
Unless an extremely talented ruck falls into our laps, I don't see us doing anything until at least next year's off-season.
Walsh, the guy who tries to run 18 km every game until his feet swell, and has a history of foot and back issues?
Not sure what's smart about that.
Speaking of turning bones to chalk with biomechanics and game style... kicking isn't his only issue.
Allan and Hotton are right there as elite midfield prospects in terms of ceiling, and Hotton isn't a reach if his knee is ok. They're also in a good spot to trade back in for someone like Hynes if he gets past 20-22 (something I hope we also try to do).
If one of Langford, Smillie or Draper slides to them, they're laughing. Failing all of the above being possible or worthwhile, Tauru is great for them if he can cut it as a forward.
Okay - I think I might change my vote and jump on the fence with half of the other voters and pick multiple players. If Other can play midfield I might choose him

They want Tauru as their Battle replacement.
They may get lucky and get Smillie but they don't seem to think its likely hence why they've tried to move up.
Don't buy the Hotton hype. See him down towards the end of the first.They've already been burnt by the brother not panning out so I don't see them going thereI like Allen though.
Watch them reach a little for Travaglia and try and force him to be a mid rather than a half back who can go mid.

I like most of your list. Some interesting names that will drop and yet probably outplay their draft position comfortably.
