It might have been an exciting last 5 minutes, but otherwise, that Port/Freo game was hot garbage. Terrible skills, terrible umpiring and terrible coaching.

Both sides just banging it straight up the corridor to endless turnovers all game. And I've never seen so many blokes get pinged trying to take the tackler on. It was like there were half a dozen Chads out there.

Every single Freo game this year has been complete trash to watch

Why I did not watch it.

Instead I Decided to have lasagna tonight with a massive serve of schadenfreude by listening to the GoCo smite the Hawks into next week.

Cody Weightman kicked 0.1 after this

I thought the Port game was great... helps I was at the game in a box getting fed & boozed up... But it got exciting at the end. Atmosphere was good despite the crowd being on the smaller scale to normal.

There is a lot to be said about alcohol and atmoshpere

Poor Dyl is copping a hiding on the North board. Calls to delist him already plus other unpleasantries. And that’s on a north board - that’s saying something. I also got a feeling that they like fast players but not game to ask them if they do.

Why stop at Dylan. If we are being fair dinkum, deregister the whole club. They are going nowhere and no amount of priority picks is going to fix the state that the club finds itself in. Fold them and begin progressing towards a league with two less Victorian sides.

Statistically, he is having his best game in blue and white. And to be fair, pretty much the rest of his team, other than Curtis and Sheezal are stinking it up.

Money, yes. But no one can convince me that it was a good decision for his football career to move from our club to North.

It really stands out how 'big' Geelong are across the ground.

I wouldn't want to play them in a big final again.

Cats have looked good.

Also playing Saints, crows, hawks, dogs and north who all missed finals last year.

Opponents have also won a grand total of 5 out of 25 matches played In 2024.

Next three weeks will tell us a lot.

GC looked good last night. Surely with the talent in the side and the amount of talent coming through their academy, they have to win a flag within the next 5 years.

Back to 2024, they are a good chance to knock us off next week. Holman to look AA as usual against us and kick 4 😬

Must be regretting not re-signing at the start of last year when he had the chance. I'd be firing my manager for that.

Maybe they were offering him 500k for four years and we were only offering 300k for two. If that's the case, you take the money.

But from a purely football perspective, I think his longevity as player would have been much better served by staying and fighting for his spot with us.

Sleeping giant really of the AFL ....have sorted out the go home factor and retained most of their gun players and have some awesome talent coming through. Should beat the lower ranked teams and knock off a couple of top eight teams this year and scrape the eight.
Hardwick knew exactly what he was doing when he resigned from Tigers it would have been 3-4 years to get back to anywhere near a team that could challenge for a flag. He then had probably the best list of youngsters in the league dangled under his nose.
Big game for us they can be hot and cold but they have rolled us a few times recently.

About a 15% across the board improvement from the Eagles game will be needed along with a whole change of attitude/desperation.

The midfield battle terrifies me if they get on top.

Heeney will probably again carry hard.
