If you look at the number of wins Adelaide has had under Nicks, it goes 3, 7, 8, 11.

Once that goes into reverse - he’s in strife.

And I hope it does go into reverse. Purely for the joy of seeing Judas ponder what could have been.

Imo it wasn't about winning for him. It was a lifestyle choice & personal success playing in a preferred position etc. The way he handled it was poor, I wonder if it had an impact on Gulden?

Questions about his leadership skills will be brewing, especially with Ricchiuto bearing down his neck.

Having to deal with that pig dog Ricciutto let alone Olsen would be testing for Nicksy and Dawson. Having that grubWalker still there and playing rubbish does not help either. Getting rid of those toxic trio would help.

That Club has not fully dealt with the disastrous pre season camp. One of the oddball counsellors they used is now on remand for dire child sexual assault charges in Qld.

I have heard both Betts and Jenkins speak about the camp. Jenkins said at the time he would not go back to SA if he could help it. The powers that be at Adelaide despised JJ for complaining about the camp and supporting Betts and others and then going public.

I am going to get smacked sideways for this but the anti Taylor Walker stuff is over the top, apart from a **** up that he would be fine go get away with if he coached North, hes always seemed pretty decent, met him a few times , always good with fans etc, seems the least of the problems culture wise,

Though seems cooked now as a player

But people seem to have pitchforks out for him, glass houses and all

His behaviour to Lever was reprehensible. He was a cheerleader of the pre season camp. The man is a bully. His complete absence of contrition over the racist issue and the horrible staged set up Adelaide used to show what a great non racist bloke he is.

Yeah he seemed like an absolute knob before the racism.

Though I suspect part of it is that he is woeful at people management (maybe he sometimes shows a bit of leadership on field) and not exactly sharp, so will show blind loyalty to the club, and anyone seen as being disloyal cops it.

I mean he apologised and did his punishment but I guess we can have him killed , like i said over the top in my opinion, you talk like he is Martin Bryant instead of a standard footy knob who , if he played for the swans , half of the people here bagging him as a complete arse would kiss his arse for autograph.

I am not saying he has been in the wrong , just it's over the top

We differ and that is ok.

Absolutely my friend , like I said most disagree with me.

I guess what I am also getting at too more generally if person x stuffs up at what point do we move on? Like they do their time? or do we never forgive , because can any of us live up to that?

Mind you AFL punishments aren't always the best

Imo people like Walker, Clarkson, Tarryn Thomas are repeat offenders.

I’m still stunned at the disparity in punishment dealt to Finlayson (3 weeks) and Clarkson (2 weeks suspended sentence and a fine that he will probably use as a tax deduction.)

Finlayson copped a fair whack and immediately accepted it. To his credit he called out his own action and apologised. To my mind Snarko who is not a player should have got a heavier penalty.

Fwiw I think Laura Kane is conflicted and should step down in cases when Norf or Port players/officials are involved. Not saying she is biased but Kane can should deal with this properly.

Think this is a bit hyperbolic. Not sure anyone is talking about him like he's Martin Bryant, but also he's definitely different than the standard footy knob. It's not just the racism issue, which seems to be the only thing you are talking about.

Anyway Crows aren't even playing today so I'll leave it at that.

I find the vitriol he cops now hyperbolic so I went there.

But yep fair point let's leave it at that , sorry .

Spot on. Walker is a decent human being. He made a shocking mistake that he has been pilloried for. He’s done his time so to speak and what most ill informed dills don’t realise is some of his closest mates from Broken Hill are indigenous. Finlayson has ****ed up monumentally but sure we could also have a look at the bigger picture and cut him a bit of slack considering the bloke is probably under a fair bit of stress caring for a wife with stage 4 cancer. Showed decency in his state of remorse.

Or you can have the McGuire clause who suggested Goodes should promote a ape show on radio and was allowed to continue his roles in the industry for another decade.

Curates Egg. Differ on the Walker issue but agree 100% on Finlayson who just seems a genuine good fella. He just seemed devastated by what he did, made no excuse and accepted his penalty

I know some will disagree and say that it's black and white and that a homophobic slur is a homophobic slur but I think what Finlayson said is far worse. It's clearly a derogatory term meant to denigrate and insult homosexuals.

The term Clarkson used, while I can see why some consider it homophobic isn't in the same ballpark IMO.

Having said all that, Clarkson should have been dealt a heavier punishment because of all his past indiscretions.

Watch t Tomas go to the cats and they get him straightened out and becomes a premiership player
He's a lost cause.
His current suspension is because he was sending abusive and threatening messages, while undertaking a behavioural and respect program.
Same time he posted a video to social media driving down a highway at night with his feet up on the dashboard.
Basically he doesn't give a shit.

Sure Geelong took Stengle onboard who had been caught drink-driving and taking cocaine.
In the overall scheme of things far less problematic.

Geelong's main sponsor is Ford, other major sponsors include Deakin University, health fund GMHBA and Cotton On.
Think they want the reputational damage of sponsoring a club signing an abuser of women?
Never mind how it would go down with the AFLW program and the club's female board members.

Of course I'd imagine a few males around the club wouldn't be jumping for joy either.

Really don't think there s a way back for Thomas.

I reckon the Brions will win and win well.

And the fact that it was said on the ground.

Yep I guess there might be a hierarchy of insult.

The Finlayson penalty was fair enough.

Snarko got a feather tickle.
